Question on SEO and blogs

I currently have three blogs. One is for fun, I cover some entertainment. It's been around 4 years, gets little traffic, but has a PR of 4. Another of my blogs is for a live action game, has been around for almost a year, gets more traffic than the first one, but was down-rated from a PR of 3 to 2.
Any clue why this might be happening?
A third one was an experiment for my company, so I don't check it much.
Now I seem to be getting all these people registering for blogs 2 and 3, neither of which have much PR. The people registering seem to have funny email addy's, many from Poland. Anyone have a clue why they might be doing this?
Just thought I'd put the question to some of the experts out there.

PR just fluctuates depending on how the PR of the links to your site changes. Its gonna go up and down, thats normal. It's not about traffic atall, it's about the PR of your inbound links.

Re the polish spammers: yes, they're polish spammers, lol. delete/ban their accts...

Yeah PR has nothing to do with traffic.

However, you could make some decent cash selling high PR links on your site if its not doing anything else.

Thanks for the help.

As to the suspicious registration, I've been harvesting all their addy's for the next time I send out a company newsletter. Should be interesting to see what comes back!
I don't really understand why they keep registering. The antispam protection picks up any spam comments right away. You can't even post on any of the blogs unless I approve it. Are they playing some game I don't understand?

haha. you've probably got quite a targetted list there.

you should outsource a ebook in polish on how to run various scams and market it vial email to them.

although to be honest, it's probably all some automated thing where software finds blogs and posts, without a human who even checks those addresses.

Captcha verification can cut down on a lot of the bullshit.

If they're not legit, your blog is probably getting scraped due to the nature of the content.

Selling links is for chumps. If you have decent traffic, sell ad space. You can bill per click or number of unique impressions and you'll be working with more of a revenue stream. Anyone who knows what they're doing is not going to pay much for a PR4 link, especially of there are other outbound links existing solely to pass flow.
