Santiago de Chile

I'm in Santiago now and wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions for this place?

So far, I think the girls here are much more warm than their Argie cousins to the east. Also, a very interesting cafe culture -- Cafe con piernas (Coffee with Legs)-- that you ought to see if you're down here.

The city outside of the center is pretty spread out so I'm wondering if there were any neighborhoods outside worth checking out?

I heard that Barrio Brazil is cool. There's a big mall in Las Condes with outdoor shows and stuff. Bellavista has bars and nightlife.

I like Santiago, very livable place and gorgeous backdrop with the snow-capped Andes.

It is definitely a livable city. Great public transportation, relatively high standard of living, friendly people, good wine and very decent beer, and other things that I think are very conducive to living a very decent life [Image: biggrin.gif]

My first impression when I got into Santiago from Argentina was, wow, people are actually happy here! [Image: wink.gif] Buenos Aires reminds me of Paris in the sense that you generally don't see people who look happy. Things are very gray, and no one really smiles. In Santiago, on the other hand, people seem pretty content.

Interesting observations. I totally noticed the discontent in the air in Buenos Aires. Everyone there perpetually looks like they're having a shitty day. Then you see all the political graffiti everywhere and it gives the impression of a people that are very discontent. I imagine it has something to do with their years of military dictatorship. But then again Brazil and Chile lived under military dictatorship too so I dunno.

Funny you bring this up, because I was just going to give my little DL scoop on this shiznit:

Santiago Chicas, mamacitas... The typical girl I saw in Chile was a mestizo blend some ranging from very cute to not so cute... though on average I have to say they sided towards the cute. You can find some pretty hot girls too, but it's hard to tell by how they dress. They do have some pretty good bodies.

As for how is the getting laid situation? Well, coming from Argentina I feel like Chile is fuckin easy. Too easy after Argentina. And for what Gio said earlier, yeah, I think Argentinians need to get laid more... it'll do them some good.
