I agree with this 100% The O.P. mentioned spelling his name "R to the Y to the A to the N" and that reads so fucking lame. It's literally cringeworthy.

But then I thought about it, and I can totally see Hank Moody saying that in a cocky, sing-song voice "H to the A to the N to the K, pretty lady".

Inflection, attitude, playfulness, etc. is at least as important as the content.

What you say is usually way less important than how you say it, which is why JFK could get away with saying "I am a jelly doughnut" and the crowd still goes fucking wild

Yep. Just like when in hotel bars I will often tell a broad "Let's go watch ESPN."

Explain a little more - you mean you're dressed up nice in a swanky $13 a drink hotel bar (w hotel, Le meridian, etc) and you jokingly say "let's go do ---- (insert something lame)" ? What's your body language and delivery? Sarcastic? Cheerful?

I think his body language is pretty much [Image: troll.gif]

Believe it or not, not everyone here that does things a bit off the wall or different from the norm is a troll.

I've said the above after already having a bit of a convo with her where I sense things are going where I want them to go.

I say it with a half smirk/smile while looking into her eyes. My tonality is "somewhat" playful. She knows I am not asking her to go watch ESPN or TV for that matter. She knows I am taking her to my room.

I'm in the upper Midwest so the hotel bars I am talking about are not the $1000/night places. Loads of hotels have bars with traveling salesgirls, managers, etc.

Saying that, I see no reason it wouldn't work in the places mentioned.

Maybe I need to spell it out a bit more for some here;

I don't open with that line.

I close with it.

It's obviously humorous and allows her hamster to rationalize getting fucked in my room. "I don't know how it happened. We were just going to watch TV."

The problem with tank moody game, is that the show doesn't really show all of it. He also has massive preselection.

Confidence and relaxation will give you a ton of results, but it's hard to really learn from moody since you only see half the picture.

Well, a lot has been said in here. I read the critique, albeit I don't really care. It was my first thread, take it easy. I still think anybody could incorporate some of Hank's style into their own mish mash of gaming techniques, whatever you want to call it.
