http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rapeman

Quote:Quote:

The main character, Keisuke Uasake, is a high school teacher by day and dispenses a surreal brand of "justice" at night as the Rapeman under the business "Rapeman Services", which is co-run with his uncle, a former surgeon. The business' motto is: "Righting wrongs through penetration."[1] Clients call on the Rapeman to handle cases such as the revenge of a jilted lover, forming parental bonds through a traumatic crisis, making disruptive co-workers more docile and other things of that nature. When engaged in his night trade, the Rapeman wears a black leather ski mask shaped like the head of a circumcised penis. but no trousers or underwear. In the middle of a rape, if the woman becomes unresponsive or expresses enjoyment, he uses special techniques such as "M69 Screwdriver" or "Infinite Loop" to apply more pain to the victim. Despite regretting some of the contracts he fulfills, he always does the job.

I used to be big into anime in the 90's when I was growing up, specifically Dragon Ball Z, Fist of the North Star, and Akira. The latter two are pretty violent, and everyone knows about DBZ. 80's-90's anime was great, great stuff.

Nowadays anime sucks balls, and I haven't followed it in years. The only thing I watch is One Piece, which was started in the 90's. The style is a little silly and cartoony, and some may consider it childish even, but One Piece has a great hero as its main character imo. If there was a checklist for "alpha" qualities, Luffy (the hero) possesses most of it in abundance:

1.) Doesn't have a filter. Says whatever the hell he wants.
2.) Loves to tackle nigh-impossible challenges
3.) Loves a good fight
4.) Loves to party
5.) Wants to explore and see new things
6.) Intensely devoted to friends and family
7.) Likes meeting new people
8.) Working to become the best at what he is (to become Pirate King)
9.) Was able to seduce the world's most beautiful woman without even trying or realizing it. He's oblivious to her advances, doesn't even know her name, and sometimes flat out rejects her, and yet she can't get enough of him. Aloof game anyone?

Tried watching a few anime series that were recommended to me. Couldn't watch more than a few episodes. All of them were centered around some pussy ass little faggot beta in high school that was surrounded by "hot" women who acted like men and inexplicably fell in love with the beta. I found the total reversal of gender roles to be, for lack of a better word, faggoty.

I can't find any decent videos of the show. Needs a proper special edition DVD including WTF they were thinking making it.

I don't know why there is such a huge concentration of Omegas / Grass-Eaters in Japan. From what I see, the women there have neither gotten fat nor feminist, and the level of game required is not too large. It seriously confuses me.

My Japan exeprinece, Five years, recently returned to the states:

Its the 40 year recession coupled with their horrible test hell, critical thinking killing, any thinking at all killing, soul crushing ultra-conformist school system coupled with their whole shame, saving face culture. Not to mention the fact that women (in their 20's) are actually making a LOT more money than men are (usually in the fashion,make-up, and blogging business)

Most men in their teens are 20's are grain eaters, BUT once men turn around 35 and ESPECIALLY at 40, they become way more alpha than most American men would ever hope to be. Because of this, and the fact that these men have money and there isnt much of a taboo against adultery(as long as you're not flaunting it to the community)
pretty much 100% of women at a looks level of 6+ have been with an older man, prefer older men, dated older men even in their high school days.

Which means, that most men in their 20's aint gettin pussy, and have no money. The little pussy they get, they omega themselves to the girl, and pretty much in many cases only has sex with the girl like once a month.

Usually because of this, J-guys in general have no game, and cockblock the shit out of you in Japanese clubs (there's a difference between Japanese clubs that have a Japanese clientelle, and Japanese clubs that cater to foreigners and women who like foreigners) but yeah if you're chatting a girl up in one of those clubs, dudes WILL cockblock you, usually two guys (friends with each other) will come up to the girl and try to embarass her to get her to stop talking to you, then try to talk her up, buy her drinks, etc etc, hell, they'll even cockblock THEMSELVES.

You'd think that having game in these scenarios would help but no. the best thing to do is to go the clubs that have women that already like you, or become a DJ/club event organizer (like I did I didn't do it for the girls though, I kinda just stepped into that) that got me access to the kinda of J-girl that most non-Japanese people wouldn't even dream of being about to touch. But yeah, I didn't have to work hard, made friends with some great musicians (who are usually alpha or close to it) and just generally had a blast.

there ARE young J-guys who do get mad pussy though, usually they are either DJs, entertainers, rich, are with the organized crime (which is a whole different topic for another day)

Anime, yeah I never really watched it in Japan, (or much at all in general). When I got there it wasn't popular but it is now. For example, I went to Akihabara like four years ago to get a cheap laptop, and it was just all electronics and parts, then I went their before I left, and there's all this anime stuff everywhere.

Interestingly enough, the whole "old dudes into young girls" culture is pretty rampant there, for example, there's this group called akb48 that this older fat dude started(most likely for the purpose of banging cute high school - early 20's girls), and they got HUGE, their main draw was 48 girls singing in high school uniforms. they got HUGE(I could write a book on that alone) ALSO the members get kicked out once they reach the age of 25!

It's a very strange place, its great for older men, and foreign men.

It's bad for J-Dudes in their 20's

I had a few male Japanese friends in their 20's straight up moved to the philipines, because they "couldn't stand Japanese girls" within a week or two of going there, they got philipino girlfriends.

Oh and its funny, a lot of women wont date you is you are younger than they are hahaha. (the older women I've been with I never told them my age, or had them guess and just say they were right hahaha!)

Yes, Ghost in the Shell is very good. It actually somewhat inspired The Matrix. And yes, Street Fighter is an anime. A very bad one.

I'm an anime fan myself, however, as the years have gone on, I've found myself less and less interested in the hobby, but like another user posted, the conventions are filled with some sexy nerdy girls, if that's your type, and many of them are DTF. Basically, all the girls are dressed risque the entire time, feel sexy, then everyone usually ends up drinking and going back to hotel rooms and things happen.

The only anime I'm pretty I'm a pretty avid fan of is One Piece. Unique story, great characters, and just a really fun watch. But some others I'd recommend to the forum if anyone wants to give the genre a try is Cowboy Bebop, Baccano, Samurai Champloo, and Mushishi.

I don't watch anime any more as it doesn't fit into my lifestyle any more. But I still find a little time to read one Piece manga, that is good stuff.

The main characters Luffy and Zoro are great masculine role models, boys growing up with them sure get a positive masculine influence.

Ussop also deserves recognition for his aspiration to become a real man despite his inherit cowardice and vocalizing the aspiration to masculine values.

The character of Sanji is also very interesting. He is a white knight who constantly suffers for it whole the time. This anime pretty much shows that white knighting is a weakness and looks pretty silly. Of course I would have preferred if Sanji's character was actually a true playboy who runs good game (like he was in his intoduction episodes), but it seems that Oda decided that every character needs a weakness to compensate for strengths and create a believable personality.

Thanks for the summary, CJ_W!

On an unrelated note, is The Last Airbender anime (it's the only thing from that style that I've ever liked)? Technically, it's a South Korea - USA production.

I used to be heavy into this shit in the late 90s/early 2000s.
I had boxes full of pirated VCDs of all kinds of stuff. Back then 2 episodes would fit on one CD so that stuff piled up easily!

My favourites where Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Great Teacher Onizuka and stuff like that. Also I liked horribly sappy shit like Love Hina for some reason.
The more I watched the more I got bored of it as it was always the same kinds of storylines and often very sappy/dramatic stuff which I dont really enjoy. At some point I totally lost interest in the whole genre and gave away my boxes of anime.

I have a few friends who have pretty much watched everything on animetake.com I've watched a few but recently as I've gotten older I just stopped watching it as much seeming I just feel like I'm wasting time and could be doing something better.
That said I've watched DBZ, Naruto (Still read manga), Gantz (Still read manga), Claymore and a few others.
I prefer reading so manga's are better

Depends. If you want something with a little action, comedy, and adventure, go with Samurai Champloo. If you like shows with a slower pace, and filled with lots of atmosphere, go with Mushishi. Another I'd recommend that used to be on Netflix, and still might be is Monster. That's my all-time favorite. They were even in the process of producing a live-action film of it over here in the states with a legit director behind it, but it hasn't materialized yet.

Anime for me started and ended with Robotech in the 80s. I rewatched the whole series a few years ago and was blown away by how well it held up and could entertainment an adult mind in the storylines complexity. Especially the Macross series.

One anime that has not been mentioned here but is very good is Hellsing.
As for the others (in order I saw them) -

Cowboy Bebop - Saw it several times, easily #1 in my book
Full Metal Alchemist - Both series are pretty good. I skipped a little of them because not enough action.
Ghost in the Shell - I liked it a lot but generally hated the little falsetto robot bastards.
Berserk - Great action and combat. Kind of gay.

It's done in anime style with lots of Asian influences for sure (Earth kingdom is based on Manchu China for example). I loved the show though I'm guessing some people here might not like the feminist themes especially in the first season.

Oda definitely has a talent for creating manly men. Whitebeard, the admirals, Luffy's grandpappy, Shanks, Mihawk, Silvers Rayleigh, etc.... one could say there's an excess of alphas in One Piece.

Sanji is a bit of a white knight, which is a downer, but it's hard for me to dislike the guy, because he's got style (always suited down and smoking a cig), on top of being a great fighter.
