Bill Maher's Red Pill Wisdom

Bill is still anti-Trump, and extremely liberal on most of the issues.

(Yet he is a gun owner.)

But he's always been anti PC. And he's probably the only guy in Hollywood with the guts to be outspokenly anti-Muslim, which gets him a lot of backlash from his ultra liberal guests and audience.

And lately I've noticed that little by little, he (or at least his writers) are sneaking little bits of red pill wisdom into the show week after week. Obviously he can't go all out, but every now and then he pushes the envelope.

This week he called out SJWs to stop apologizing for being white. He was definitely holding back a bit, but it's a good start I think.

I think his instincts are pushing him conservative, he just can't mentally bring himself to admit he's been wrong all these years.

One episode he mentioned he was sick of California's ridiculously high taxes. He's scared of Britain's muslim situation, He's aware how dumb young people are, etc...

He's in denial.

That's not true, the conservatives on the forum are just more vocal about it. 2/3's of RVF members voted for Obama in the Forum poll. This makes sense considering that most members are young and single.

I voted for Obama back in 2012 over Mitt Romney and I would do it again.

Mitt Romney is weak.

I have slid more to the right as time has gone on though. It's mostly because I am voting with my ethnicity rather than voting based on what I believe in.

I believe in classically liberal principles, welfare for those who are struggling in society, equal opportunity, inclusion, etc. but as long as the left makes out white Christian men to be Enemy #1 in society, I will not vote for them or associate with their ideas.

I suspect Maher is closer to the right than many in his audience might think.

A few years ago on his show, the panel was discussing divorce, and at one point Maher just rolled his eyes and said (paraphrasing) "Ah who cares, no one lives with their parents anymore and families are falling apart." The audience chuckled nervously and they moved to the next topic.

Maher knows that America is fucked. He shits on the republicans because that's what his audience likes, but secretly he is probably sympathetic to some conservative ideas.

Maher and Trump have had beef for some time. Trump actually threaten to sue him.

Whatever your political affiliations, he is bright, funny and very well read. He has always despised our PC culture. He criticizes Democratics almost as often as Republicans.

He's an ultra smug, condescending leftist prick. Any deviation from leftist dogma is only incidental -- when he sees an opportunity to be even more smug or arrogant or mocking of someone. I would pay good money to watch him box.

I think Bill's hesitant to associate with anything Right because he is feverishly anti-religion and ultimately an intensely smug and pretentious asshole. The prospect of sharing a tent with the stereotypically "under"-educated, "simple", "uncultured", Wal-Mart shopping Southerners is harder to bear than being lumped together with postmodern reading (read: have the books proudly displayed in cases - unopened), foreign moving watching, hummus eating, Whole Foods shopping, "top 50 uni educated" (though none can wire a bedroom or change a car's oil, but by god, they know who Michel Foucault is) limp wrists, even though he is likely more ideologically similar to the former.

Bill Maher calls himself a liberal, but he believes that real liberals are people that stand up to backwards ideas (muslim religion etc.) instead of pretending all religions are fine like blue haired SJW's

At the end of the day, he does what he does for a profit. 90% of his fan base are diehard liberals. If he were to switch up now, he would lose too much $$. You can he would like to jump sides but even if he hinted at doing so, it would be too costly. Like Gavin Mcinnes said, he's the liberals "Mike Tyson".

That doesn't make sense. Obama one of biggest reasons that white Christian men get demonized so much but you would still vote for him over Romney? Both suck ass but under a Republican president this politically correct SJW bullshit wouldn't have gone nearly as far as it has now.

At the time, he had original ideas and knew what he was talking about from watching the debates.

Mitt Romney was just another empty suit with a pretty face put forward by the RNC.

Also, I didn't know he was going to go full blown SJW by 2016.

As much as I hate Bill Maher overall, I do admire him for being one of the few progressive males who hasn't bend himself completely over for the PC 'train'.

He's another cog in the lib machine. The "anti PC" spiel he tries to sell doesn't impress. He's a fool, simple as that.

Maher talks out of both sides of his mouth. Constantly. The impact of anything intelligent he says is quickly undermined by the next stupid (usually contradictory) thing he says.

I'd take Obama over McCain again, I voted for him in that election. McCain I can't picture any scenario where he doesn't start World War III as president.

I voted for Romney in 2012 (although I showed up mainly to vote for decriminalized weed, Romney was a bitch but Obama was bad enough for me to check his name off.)

I can't imagine Romney doing anything as bad as Obama's second term. First term he could have done worse I suppose, most likely it would have been better or at worst even however.

Edit: I would summarize Obama's presidency like this:

First term: Destroy economy.
Second term: Open treason. Destroy culture, aim to destroy country.

Maher is a sophist no matter how you cut it, I prefer sophistry to screeching SJWs however.

There is nothing more despicable than a man who will say anything to get laid.

Not that wanting to get laid is bad, or should be a secondary concern. Mainly that it is not hard to get laid while still having principles (perhaps even easier, under the right frame).

Maher is such a man; the guy who will say anything to be cool.

That is why he is like a broken clock on steroids. He's right more than twice a day, but he has no insight, and certainly no wisdom for anything other than his hustle for being semi-famous. He should get some kudos for that, but only that.

The perfect take down of this worm was done years ago by one of the South Park creators. My memory is foggy, and I can't find it on Google right now, but it was essentially:

"I hope I don't end up like Bill Maher at the Playboy mansion every weekend desperately hitting on the girls."

Just check out who he has dated - Ann Coulter AND Arianna Huffington! This guy is nabbing the cult leader harpies of both political camps. Achievement unlocked.

I think this attests to the fact that good game neutralises ideology.

FWIW, Arianna Huffington was a conservative commentator at the time they dated. She flip-flopped to the left around 1999.

Maher probably slept with her for the perks, it's not his weak talent or his looks that got him to where he is today. Arianna is exactly the same, also a total climber bitch who is still using the name of the fruitcake who used her as a beard.

He's very red pill and more recently he gets his philosophy from Sam Harris, who is an intellectual from the Left. Sam Harris has been on his show several times, most famously where he got screamed at by Ben Affleck over his cognitive dissonance over some anti-Islam discussion. My only real issue with Maher is this guy was exposed by Assange for donating one million dollars to the Hillary slush fund. I love this guy but that is an unforgivable act that greatly diminished my respect for him.

Him and Sam Harris now contradict their own beliefs. They both admit Islam is not compatible with the West but then push for Hillary and globalisation. Sam Harris like his guns so he can protect his family but then advocates for someone like Hillary who will push gun control for everyone else. Neither of them talk much about the JQ or manosphere issues I guess because those things don't matter to them both (Harris is married with children, Maher has no problem getting laid with quality women).

I'm not gonna go digging through hundreds of hours to try to find the clips, but a year or two back he had his say on how stupid the whole genders thing was and that there's only two genders. It got a good response, lots of laughs. Maybe when the Bruce Jenner thing started?

Not too much time later, he had to get in line with the corporate overlord's views and he had a trannie guest on and was super polite and cordial, and humored him about what pronouns and bathrooms are appropriate. I was disappointed to see him do such a 180.

But he's really lost it this last year. He simply can't process the fact that Trump really won. He's still in full meltdown mode.

I saw him condescend toward Milo on his show recently. Maher white knighted Sarah Silverman! What is wrong with this guy? Is it because Jewish comedians have to stick together? I'm losing the motivation to watch his show. Milo did great and owned his gayness.
