Here an exercise that I do with basketball players who are not shooting the ball well:

I have them approach a few 9+ girls and try to number close. The process of doing this forces them to deal with their underlying fear and self-doubt. I've found that this can remove much of the tension in the body-mind of the athlete and allow him to shoot with greater comfort and confidence.

When you are fearless around a beautiful woman, shooting the ball is easy.
