Oxford is nice. You'l find other Spaniards (there are students from both the city's 2 Universities - the famous one and Oxford Brookes) if you are struggling, but not so many that your English will suffer.

if the author is even checking the thread just go up north for the low cost of living and go somewhere with a university so you get good night life, easy

I lived in the UK for five years...Bristol is nice...as is Bath; nothing in England is cheap except cider.

well I have just moved to Birmingham, big city, lots to do (bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping...), and has changed a lot in the last 10-15 years, I have been more than pleasantly surprised. Also, cost of living is cheap (compared to London).......I have quite a nice city centre apartment and am paying less than £800 PCM

Don't go to Nottingham (my home town) and its not great. Poor and low class. Leeds, Manchester ,south coast all better.

Also I'd you're learning English you want to head to the south for the southern dialect. And I say this as someone who lived in Leeds for years. Actually Leeds and Manchester are cool.
