And this chart shows that middle eastern women are the most sought after race.

In fact, the tweet is so bullshit - if you do ctrl+F and search for "white male" you'll see white males aren't even mentioned ONCE in the entire article.

I thought there were interesting insights in the article, such as comparing online dating to market efficiency.

As for middle eastern women, that just doesn't pass the smell test. I'm guessing that their sample size of middle eastern women is probably so small that the data is wildly skewed even by small trends. What percentage of America consists of middle eastern women? <1%?? And a huge number of those are Persians who fled here during the revolution and are basically white anyway.

Agreed.

I'm willing to guess based on anecdotal evidence that the middle-eastern category is hugely skewed towards the Persian female population who are both: 1) here in large numbers, and 2) much more likely to be on Okcupid than most females from many arab countries.

Also, I wonder if there is a sort of exotic fueled fantasy of a belly-dancing, dark featured "Arabian woman" that is skewing the data somehow.
