About 7-8 years ago, I used to be a lot into latino music and at the time, my favorites were:
Grupo Mania (top class puerto rican merengue group)
Mattiz (Merengue)
Elvis Crespo (his first 2 albums were good, then the quality went down as he went more into the "americanized" style).
Los Adolescentes (awesome colombia salsa group)
Juanes (great Colombian singer).
This is off the top of my head, it's been 7 or 8 years that I haven't followed what's going on in the latino music world as I've been totally hooked since on the absolute best music in the world from my beloved Brasil.
But I still enjoy from time to time to listen to some cool latino tunes. What's new these days in the latino music world that's not to americanized and authentically latino?
