Living in downtown MKE is awesome in the spring/summer. It's really friendly for a decent sized city and my building is right in the thick of the action. What's more, I have a cool ass dog who is the right mix of cute/manly and I walk the hell out of him (he's high energy) around the city which leads to tons of organic day game.
The problem is that it's been 20 degrees for the last week-plus and nobody is interested in talking. The cleverest line I have come up with is "It's entirely too cold to hit on you right now" which generally gets a laugh, but then it's awkward to segue that into a pickup (I've tried indirect but it's 20 fucking degrees out and that takes too long).
As a result I've become way too reliant on Match.com which is the opposite of the way I intended to trend. I hate the "soft lie" that using Match.com (a relationship site) to be a player entails - it makes me feel like a fraud and it makes me feel like I'm abusing the system.
Anybody else live in cold cities who has clever ideas for pickups this time of year? I guess coffee shops is the obvious answer but that's so hit or miss, and I really prefer my home office to setting up camp at a Starbucks where only 1 out of ever 25 customers is a female in my target.
