Roosh's take on the RSD way

The most basic one is Foundations seminar. Step by step gameplan with every stage of pu explained in details by Tyler. Very analytical [for example there is a long list of how to pass shittests]. Beside that you got different programs released by different instructors. If you resonate with particular guy you can watch his stuff [Julien & Alex got their seminars on their YT channels]. Whatever you do don't pick Blueprint unless you want to molest your brain with wacky combo of self help + pickup + philosophy.

About eight years ago they were all about getting in state, high energy based game and all that flashy shit. Then they switched to natural game ... .

Tyler Durden was a roommate of Mystery during their development of structured routine "Aspy Game". Nick Krauser wrote about the history. Basically the RSD guys felt that routines were too externally focused. So they turned to inner game to build self-esteem and amuse themselves during marathon approach sessions in L.A. clubs.

The pushback and phase two [was] RSD-led hippy touchy-feely natural game ... that we are all in our heads, [external social] structures don’t really exist but are illusory and constantly renegotiated between the participants. It’s characterised by:

■Self acceptance and living to your own values,
■An overestimation of internal state and it’s ability to suck people in,
■Obsession with rejecting and transgressing social norms (e.g. beasting, AA-busting pranks)

This is quite understandable as a reaction to Aspy Game as those dedicated original LA nerds had internalised the lessons of 2002-era game ... . The big problem with ignoring the real world of value and social structure, however, is it bites you in the ass. RSD-types are weird cultist self-helpy schlubs (e.g. Roger) or embarrassing awkward social violators (the Beasts). Denying reality is a fast-track to disappearing up your own arse.

So odd, I ran into Tyler and Jeffy in Hollywood right after I posted on this thread. I mentioned it and Tyler was like: "it that the site run by the guy with the beard that travels abroad?"

Don't get all butt-hurt. Roosh is creating buzz around his product (blogs and books) by introducing a controversial element. Classic marketing tactic. The manosphere will go nuts, write articles, and he'll get more hits, sell more books, more followers on twitter, etc. Controversy helped him sell his BANG [enter country here] series. Why not spam the same tactic over and over until it stops working?

This works both ways and RSD can benefit from it as well. RooshV readers will go to http://www.rsdnation.com and read the articles and watch the videos there.

Both business entities create worthy products for purchase.

I'd be surprised to see RSD publicly address this article, but if they do, beefs in the public eye only bring more publicity and more success.

Yeah, it's like radio DJ's in the same town going after one another. Stage thunder.

But also, Roosh is almost post-game. He kind of assumes you know all the old game shit. His advice is about applying unexpected nuance to shit we ought to all already know. His best posts, and his most mature posts as a writer (and typing that phrase is gayer than sucking off the entire Pet Shop Boys touring band, but fuck off) are legitimately questioning whether pussy brings you happiness. They invite you to think about the fucking purpose of being alive. What is pussy worth if it brings you no joy? Etc. Roosh's best shit is art that asks the big questions, and fuck you, I'm serious.

RSD-- and I know very little about RSD, so, call me out-- RSD seems like Amway to me. Hucksterism. It seems like a geek who learned how to dress by watching TV, talking to a bunch of Asian guys who spend their days posting all caps comments in weird forums about how they hate their women dating the white man, in the 3d-tier windowless banquet room of an airport Holiday Inn, for as much money as you could buy a plane ticket to Mexico for. It seems like all their coaches have kids and need money and you better get out there and sell a fucking Buick. They hire women coaches, don't they? Or am I thinking of some other program? I fucked some coach of some program of RSD or some offshoot of RSD. They hire women coaches. Pay me money; I will put you in a room with a woman.

I could be wrong. Tell me if I am. And God bless you if your living is Pickup as a Business, but also: get back out there and sell a fucking Buick.

Roosh's take on the RSD way

Let's forget what RSD did back in the days for a second. What's funny here is that Roosh comes up with a post out of the blue where he describes what he saw on their workshop 8 years ago, assumes that they do the same stuff now [he wouldn't post that if he knew what they teach now] and questions whether that is good or bad. I mean, what's up with that? It's just.. weird.

Is UgSlayer post on point?

Roosh merely wrote his impression that many RSD-students in Toronto "burnout ... and ... are actually less likely to succeed with women had they adopted a more balanced approach".

I have no dog in this fight. But why is RSD so polarizing?

Tyler says he needs 20-30 approaches just to warm up! I think that's a lot... it takes me about half a dozen. But also, you need to be conscious of what you are approaching, not just being an approach machine. It can be, should be fun, that's the point that Tylers student may not get...

Does RSD put out all their material in 30 minute YouTube videos? I watched a bit of a couple of them and Durden drops some knowledge on social interactions, but he is absolutely in love with the sound of his own voice.

I have to think that part of the appeal of RSD is that he is essentially gaming dudes. Getting dudes thinking, "Wow. He is really cool and charismatic. How can I be like him?" I guess some guys learn better that way, but who has multiple 30 minute blocks to waste listening to this? I read this forum a lot, but I'm usually doing two or three other things at the same time.

I don't hate on RSD. From the free things they pulled up, I build my own way of gaming. It doesn't work at all where I live right now but before I moved, it pretty much got me over a huge slump, for a whole year. I'm grateful for that. Besides that, no, I hate the way they leave huge gaping holes and contradictions in such way that you bash your own head hard enough that you come after them begging for a seminar or a bootcamp. If you want to really benefit from RSD, you have to pick apart the useful from the bullshit.

If you invest in Roosh and you think he's full of shit, you've lost 10 bucks.

If you invest in a RSD bootcamp and you then think Tyler is full of shit, you've lost 2 grand.

Since the PUA community naturally attracts guys who are losers at life (no chicks, no friends, no money etc), blowing $2000 can mean a ton for these people.

Where are you getting those numbers? And RSD students not having fun? It takes me 1 or 2 "warmups" on a bad night/day to start feeling social and I basically came up on RSD.

Even during my 30 day challenges my goals were never to open x amount of sets. They were specific parts of my game i wanted to tighten up. Improve on this part of my game this week. Transitioning from open to hook another week. Concentrate on logistics the next. Work on leading the interaction, push/pull, another week. One week concentrate on listening and judging the girl (selector frame) instead of spouting off at the mouth. Then the last weekend I would review everything that went down and put it all together. You know each week or couple of days I would consciously tweak or review certain aspects of my game. Did I run canned material? Very minimally but only when I felt it would be fun or funny to do so. I never ran any material to "get a girl to like me more".

This is the major problem with RSD, cost and at that cost you expect a lot more than buying a book off Roosh. Hence why PUAHate exists.

His body language wreaks of insecurity. Which makes me suspect he is lying. I've stood in front of and instructed of professionals. Worming around like that with hands in pockets and making funny voices would get you laughed at and ignored. If he was pulling down quality ass and not getting blown out constantly, he'd have body language like this:

The guy above doesn't give a fuck, pulls down world class tail, makes millions, and it shows. Take notes.

Roosh's take on the RSD way

I've been watching/listening to a lot of Owen's "Tyler" RSD video blogs while at work over the past few days. I have to say a lot of it is really good shit. His south park voice and super high energy/fast talking does get annoying, but a lot of what he's spitting is valuable.

I don't know shit about the RSD site or actual material - just his video blogs.
