If you guys live in a winter climate and there's snow on the ground, go make some cash!
Shovelling snow isn't the easiest job, but it's not a bad way to make a little extra cash. All you need is a sturdy shovel, and maybe a bag of salt.
Charge $10.00 per half-hour, or $20.00 per hour. As long as there's not ice on the ground, it's easy to knock out someone's sidewalk and front steps in half an hour. Shovel the sidewalks and steps, lay down some salt, collect the cash, then go to your next client.
You can make $100-$150 per day doing this if you stay busy. Of course it only lasts as long as there's snow on the ground.
How To Get Business
Place an ad on Craigslist with your name and phone number.
Get to know everybody within a few blocks of where you live. The elderly are usually happy to pay someone to do this.
I know most of the landlords that own rental properties in my neighborhood, a lot of them are happy to have someone shovel the sidewalks around their property.
Post flyers or business cards in local coffee shops or convenience stores.
