I wouldn't bet against Bill Ackman. This is the guy who netted his investors more than $1 billion during the credit collapse. He seems to be on the money with this claim. It's a pretty serious accusation and he's put his money where his mouth is.

Herbalife's claim of so many retail locations is just laughable. They have rundown places. They just add the color green to the location and call it a retail spot. Many of them are in apartments, basements, garages, churches, etc. Look at what a Herbalife retail store looks like:

I can only imagine what a Herbalife 'Nutrition Club' retail spot in Mexico looks like. This is a typical MLM (Ponzi) scam.

Check the link below for more pictures of their locations.

Well, the nutrition clubs here sure as hell don't look as shitty as those. Where the hell did you find those?

You are young and full of optimism, so just relax and open your ears for a second:

take it from someone who's been in these companies, who was always great at sales and who has an amazing BS meter.

any company that offers to hire everyone

and promises great money "if you just work hard!"

but then doesn't pay any minimum wage

AND THEN, most important,

asks YOU to pay for anything - "samples", "training", "initial package" etc..

is FULL OF SHIT. A waste of your time at best.

from cutco to amway to nutritional magic drinks to this... tell them "NO THANKS" and go find someone who will PAY YOU to work.

the one being scammed is you, that's the system

cutco had a system where new hires were paying $120 to get hired for sample knives. a training room of 50 people... x 120 = $6000 a nice payday for trainer to come BS you for 4 hours till you're brainwashed enough to buy. They don't give a shit if you go and sell, because chances are you can't and won't, and they already got paid.

same with modeling gigs that ask you TO PAY for your own pictures, and are telling literally EVERYONE they can be a model.

watch for scams, observe rules above. if you have to pay, if its too good to be true, run.

Listen to the guy up top.

My friend who plays on the same soccer team as me got heavily involved with herbalife. Shelled out a couple grand to buy their products to sell. End result, he never managed to break even. He hustled the shit out of it and had people under him but all it does is consume your time and life without netting you even a bare salary. He still has boxes of shakes and powder crap laying around.

Thanks for the responses DGS and Deacon. I was really interested in it, it seemed like nice gig. But I really don't have the enthusiasm for it, its definitely not my thing.
