Bose QE15 - opinions?

So I recently picked a pair up and I'm torn on whether or not to keep them. The noise-cancelling is very cool...but I'm pretty bummed that you can't use them as normal non-NC headphones.

Also, the NC creates a pressure-like feeling. I don't notice it too much when music is playing and after I've had them on a while, but it's definitely weird and not something I'm sure I'll get used to.

Anyone have a pair? Should I keep them or is their a better option? Keep in mind I REALLY like a good noise-cancelling option...there would be nothing better than tuning out airplane engine noise on a long trip or noisy neighbors if I'm trying to work on something.

I like the QC3s better personally as they enclose the ear.

Not sure what you mean...15's are around-ear headphones.

You must have very small ears, when I tried them on they were more like riding on the ear but not really enclosing them. The cushions are too small to really wrap around. Mind you, not saying that they are in-ear.

Noise canceling feature is pretty plush, not sure there's anyone that does it better. That's the reason to get them. Very nice on planes or studying / reading in noisy environments.

If you're mostly after hifi audio, they're basically trash for the money. Go see the headfi.org geeks about what you can get for a similar price that will blow your mind.
