Thanks for posting that link Samseau, there's a lot of good writing there, I especially like the part that says:

"Most men – average men – can only begin enjoying life at age 29 the way women do at
age 19 because it takes them that long to gain the resources women find attractive. The
point in life where men’s and women’s access intersect is the marriage zone. She has to
get him to commit in that zone before he realizes that his life is really just starting. My
recommendation: she’s enjoyed her “wild and free” days, so avoid marriage and go
enjoy yours. Travel. Sex up a variety of women. Explore your hobby now that you
have both the time and resources to do so. In short, live life with the access of a carefree
19 year old party girl."[b]

I can't even remember how I found Roosh's work. I think I found the forum first, by chance after typing in something like "girls in Norway" or whatever. Then I started reading and its been red pill ever since. I mostly only read his stuff to be honest, but he links to others in his blod and ROK features loads of other writers too. I think Athlone is the smartest of all the manosphere writers actually - his academic approach is excellent.

I am not a fan of Heartiste, the old Roissy stuff was a bit better, but I always thought it was way over hyped. The articles are hard to read and follow, I'm an intelligent and educated person, but it just seems like whoever is writing that shit is trying too hard to sound super smart, the vocabulary and language just amounts to "intellectual masturbation". If they could just write some shit that's easy to read and digest maybe I'd take another look, but now that the whole site is overrun with beta pussy ass racist bitches, I think I'll take a pass.

Dangerandplay is the shit for lifestyle, but dude barely writes anything game related any more. VK, Roosh's boy has some good game stuff, especially in the archives of his empireofdirt site. Mark Manson now of postmasculine, used to be one of my favorite gurus when he was in the full swing of the PUA scene, I think a lot of those old articles are still archived on his site, may be worth it to scan through to find some gems.

I know this is a very 'newbie' question, but what is the difference between the two. I thought it was the same person?

In my opinion, this site is vastly underrated. In my opinion it is in the same league as King Solomon II. It taught me all the important concepts for the first time, and it was via this site that I stumbled upon Roosh and Roissy. It is dead now.

roissy wrote the site for several years, but then apparently a new writer took over. i believe this because of two reasons:

1. the writing style is very different
2. they even changed the name, from roissy to heartiste

classic roissy is the best. i have actually been going back through his archives and reading his best work from 2008-2009. did a few posts about this:
http://rivsdiary.wordpress.com/2012/09/3...ssy-posts/
http://rivsdiary.wordpress.com/best-of-roissy/

roissy's "16 commandments" is one of the best things ever written about game. i have it saved on my iphone and simply re-read it whenever i have a moment. retraining my old beta brain into a new alpha brain.

classic roissy, roosh, yohami, krauser, rollo, danny, danger & play, bold & determined -- they are all hall of fame game bloggers. there are others, of course, even probably some i have never heard of. i actually started blogging almost three years ago just to keep track of all the great shit i was reading. it can be kind of confusing at the beginning, discovering game and the manosphere, knowing what to believe and what not to believe. it's also part of the fun, part of the adventure.

for any other newbies out there, i have a couple of other HOF recommendations that really helped me when i was starting out:

1. the way of the superior man, david deida (book)
2. no more mr. nice guy, robert glover (book)
3. lovedrop's 13 cd series (audio)

if anyone is interested in the lovedrop mp3s, send me a PM or email me at [email protected]. i really like helping others who are starting out, since i was so lucky after my divorce to get so much help myself.

Anyone feel like Roosh is kind of holding out on us? It seems like he barely ever writes about game related stuff any more, maybe once every few months he'll bust out a good game post, whereas 2-3 years ago he was keeping them coming every couple weeks. Oh well, I can't complain, the amount of great free advice I've gotten from his blog has been priceless. Perhaps, it reflects a shift in where he's at in his life, I wouldn't be surprised if he's got a sweet young Polish dime wifed up at the moment. Either way, I know he's sitting on some next level game shit, and I can only hope that he busts more blog posts, or writes a sequel to BANG. No matter what, I tip my hat to him for everything he's done, by far the best "game guru" of all time IMHO.

interesting comment. i feel that everything that needs to be written about game has been written. what more is there to be said? club game (mystery), inner game, outer game, day game, logistics, how to dress, lifting weights, supplements, traveling, culture, cities best for each race, negs, push pull, frame control, dominance, sexual dominance, the age question, money, posture -- there is just so much great info out there, i think for most of us, it really now depends on us just doing stuff, practicing, learning by doing.

my guess is that most of us reading about game are not natural extroverts. d&p made that point too. and a lot of times, introverts are more comfortable in front of the computer than out in the field.

i personally have to push myself to get out there and meet new women. that is really my greatest sticking point.

Most of the night game stuff was written 10-12 years ago. Mystery and company never dealt with convergence of social media and smart phones.

With guys getting dox'ed, forums closing, and other internet things, a lot of the knowledge is lost and has to be reinvented every generation.

The fact that this message board has thousands of messages lets you know that the everything isn't known.

I think it is cool he broke it down for many men who felt they missed out on their best years of having sex (i.e. teenage years-20s). I'm looking forward to my 30s now.

There have been many great blogs written in gold that have come and gone over the years. The real challenge is staying power. Eventually you just say all you have to say before you run out. It's a shame so many fine authors have simply deleted their blogs at the end of their reign but it's an effective method of really "retiring."

And in my personal opinion, the real art of writing is not what you write, but how you write it.

My personal favorites, at the moment, are without a doubt Michael Byc and Tao of Dirt most of it is more lifestyle-related, but that is my focus at the moment. Latest post on Michael Byc is super ironic, so don't judge him on that one, there are lots, and lots of great content.
