The Official 2013 resolutions

I started 2012 100 pounds overweight. Yeah, you read that right. 100. One fucking hundred.

Not cool.

A new environment with healthier food and better access to a gym, along with some quality fat shaming from the RooshV forum and manosphere, made lose 80 of those pounds and put on some serious muscle. But then I got sick in November. Hell sick. "Maybe if I jump out of a fourth story window the pain will stop" sick. If it clears up, and there's no guarantee that it will but the trend is positive, I'm going to finish my weight loss in 2013 and be down to exactly where the Met Life charts say I should be.

The Official 2013 resolutions

2013 is the first year where I've had any real plans for a while now, and I've got a lot in mind.

I want to, by mid-year:

Be low bf% (15-), and working on gaining muscle at least 3 days per week
Be close to being somewhat conversational with Russian
Read at least 25 books
Be regularly training in Muay Thai/some other martial art
Impove my guitar playing to the point it should be at right now anyway
Work on taking any and all opportunities to do something that will benefit me or be interesting
Improve my vocal tonality and presense
Have enough money saved to go on an overseas holiday
Improve my social circle, and become included in some higher value circles

And by the end of the year:

I want my body and body language to be imposing
Conversational in a lot of areas in Russian
Read 50 books
Be reasonably skilled at a martial art, and confident enough to fight using my craft
Visit at least 2 new countries
Have enough money saved to visit Russia
Become skilled at freestyle rapping
At least 12 new notches
Have new high value friends
Start learning to surf

Some of these are a bit open ended I guess

The Official 2013 resolutions

2012 was a year of great sacrifice for me. I actually accomplished the things many people hope to with their New Year's resolutions. I cooked the vast majority of my meals (ate healthier). I got into the best shape of my life since high school (powerlifting, plyometrics and grade A supplements). I upgraded my wardrobe dramatically and made more money than I have yet to date (honed on in-demand technical skills). Coincidentally, this was also the year I traveled the least since I started traveling actively. DR was the only "new country" I went to. I focused more on developing a "home life" routine which had been out of balance by years of world travel.

I could have definitely gotten laid a lot more but my decline in mobility and having to focus on DC chicks was definitely a big part of that. My game has only gotten better as a result however.

That said, 2013 is going to be insane. I'm not sure I'll see as many countries in one year as I did in 2011 (15), but I will be a true international playboy. The hard work I did in 2012 to acquire the "lifestyle" will finally pay off. I will have more disposable income to lock down the logistics I need to capture flags - or just get laid in general - as I travel to hotspots.

I still have some ways to go before I accomplish some long-term goals but I can be happy with the fact that everything I do is going in that direction.

Very excited for 2013. Be on the lookout for some epic data sheets!

I love everyone's resolutions, they're all on some kind of similar theme

- Gym
- Biz
- General self-improvement

Mine are not really resolutions, but they're ongoing already

- Get my Portuguese to a high standard for a Brazil visit
- Continue with Salsa classes

I noticed 3 Aussie posters in quick succession, seems to be quite a few on the forum now. This forum is heavy with guys from the States, Canada, UK and Australia. I think that tells you a lot about the quality of women in those countries. I think that's one of the biggest drivers for a guy to improve himself and get better at something. Especially when you have to compete with many guys for few attractive women, you have to be good.

That's why we have guys on here who are multi-lingual, bosses in business, the gym, authors and international playboys. It's on a level the average man just can't compete with. Because the average guy is lazy and content with his lot and doesn't want to improve himself. I think it's no coincidence the guys with these skillsets come from these countries (UK,Canada, US, Oz), they're born out of necessity and it snowballs and guys get hooked on getting better and better.

What brands?

Things that I have or are currently taking are pretty much stuff that I learned about from the forum and this article. I mentioned most of them in Eros' Testosterone Regimen thread. But here they are again,

ACV/Coconut Vinegar (I alternate or cook with one while taking shots of the other) - Braggs or Vitamin Shoppe brand for ACV. This for Coco V.

Vitamins (A, B, C, D) - Vitamin Shoppe Brand

Fish Oils The company that makes the brand I use makes the multi-V or whatever it was that you recommended for your hangover cure.

I apply Vit E topically in lotion form.

Zinc/Copper - I use the Solaray brand for Zinc because it comes in 75 mg capsules. I use Vit Shoppe brand for Copper.

BCAA's (Vitamin Shoppe brand)

Aspartic Acid - I always cop a new brand of this stuff. I'm currently taking one that also includes a blend of hormone herbs that raise T and reduces estrogen, as well as stuff like Longjack.

Resveratrol (Vitamin Shoppe house brand)

Whey Protein (Currently taking a MetRx blend)

Veggie Powder - My favorite supplement (energy boost)

Deodorized Garlic capsules (Vit Shoppe brand) - I OD on garlic. I cook with a lot of garlic as well.

Magnesium Oil Spray
- Raises Testosterone levels. Great for after taking cold showers.

Just started taking Amino Collagens as well. Too early to tell the net effect. This is the brand I purchased: http://www.amazon.com/NeoCell-Super-Coll...B001N0LPPA

That's pretty much it. That's a lot of shit so I can understand if some folks don't want to mess with that. Kinda annoying but I feel great.

The Official 2013 resolutions

I'm very much against New Year's resolutions, but on the other hand, this IS a good time to review performance in 2012 and make a written commitment towards 2012 to which you can hold yourself accountable.

Hencredible's post sounded pretty good, I hope he writes a post about some of those achievements, especially getting the income part down?

Anyways... as Aristotle said... excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.

For me, things are basically simple:

What:
- Score a QPA of +3.6 on the subjects I've picked
- Regain mid-2012 strength and keep on building on that + add new dimension (cardiovascular fitness)
- Continue eliminating expensive debt
- Make my boss love me
- Be tidier
- Finish renovating flat (when subjects are completed)

How:
- Dedicate ample time weekly to each goal (each one includes transport)
- Prioritize ruthlessly and plan everything a 1-2 weeks at a time
- Finish goals ahead of time where possible to release time for finishing up other goals

This means:
1) Setting aside time for studying and nothing else
2) Seeking out new tasks and executing current tasks quickly and precisely, actively requesting feedback for improvement
3) Healthy and purposeful eating and rest
4) Taking regular breaks from 1) and 2) and using that time to go to the gym

So the first goal is obviously to smash grad school, the second is to become an invaluable asset to my manager and win praise, the third is to regain last summer's fitness and building upon it.

A year from now you'll wish you started today

The Official 2013 resolutions

Going to start as of now.

Common themes:
- keep track of everything, should help with my willpower/discipline if I tick boxes off every day
- earn, learn or burn
- always be experimenting and improving.
- Get the good habits formed by the time I graduate so I can punch the world in the balls instead of go home and get fat.

GAME:
- be more social. add people I meet at parties to facebook, throw a few parties.
- make an effort to hang out with people one on one or in a small group.
- have a set number of approaches I need to complete each day/week
- minimal use of online dating, no more than 20 minutes a day
- 100 daygame approaches before school is out (Roosh program style)
- 100 solid night game approaches (Roosh program style)
- 100 direct approaches, probably mostly in clubs
- focus more on either quality interactions or fast sex. don't waste time on people who will give you neither
- bang a few asian girls
- bang a persian girl
- bang a milf
- bang a russian or EE girl
- bang a tourist in her hotel room
- bang a girl with an awesome accent
- bang a girl using the apocalypse opener
- don't keep fuck buddies unless the sex is phenomenal. I just get lazy otherwise.
- work on my storytelling
- talk less about myself
- limit my RVF time. probably the same 'rules' as online game. sorry guys [Image: grouphug.gif]
- write a super thorough BANG guide for my town detailing the type of girl and their psychology, the culture, good bars, good methods. then sell it to you guys for $69.99. I'm hoping by forcing myself to think about this stuff and experiment I'll take my own game to the next level.

Health:
- drop 30lbs to get cut
- 450dl, 375 squat, 205 strict row, 225 bench, 185 strict press.
- each month pick one of the above exercises to do 3x a week at lighter weights to work on form/technique
- cardio after workouts, sprints or complexes on off days
- eat clean, no processed food whatsoever. I need to get the willpower not to do cheat days I end up just binging on them and feeling like shit + eating more.
- flexibility/mobility work
- limited alcohol, no beer. this will help my game and my health. I'll get a vodka soda or two if I go to a bar. No predrinking. Exceptions will be for celebrations where I'll get shittered, but I won't eat that day so I'll get drunk faster.
- IF until the weight is gone.
- drink fucktons of water

Misc:
- have a plan for post grad
- get a part time job and have 10k in the bank when I grad
- read 60 books
- further fine tune my style
- grooming routine
- no fap/no porn. need the hunger for pussy to be strong
- start a journal/blog chronicling this and also writing about methods, thoughts etc.
