Food Datasheet: Super Porridge!!!

I was happy to see Thedude put up a datasheet on oatmeal recently and
thought Id add a similar recipe that I have cooked for years:

Super Porridge (or oatmeal as it is called in the US)

Super Porridge has been invented and refined over the years by myself
to become my preferred breakfast of choice for when I know I have a
big day ahead of me. It is cheap, fast to make and gives you the
energy of a bear and focus of a ninja monk. It can keep me surfing for
3-4 hours in cold Irish water or allow me to focus when I have a big
project I need to do asap. It got me through University when I needed
to study my ass of without crashing. It gives a good constant flow of
energy and you don't experience a crash after 2 hours like eating
cereal.

It doesn't look the best but tastes great and anyone I have made it
for has always came back looking for the recipe which I never gave
away. Till Now...

What you need:

-Good brand of quick cooking oats
-Milk
-Coca chocolate. I usually go for the good stuff, around 70-85%
-Peanut Butter. Again get the good stuff, should have oil on top.
-Honey
-Flax seeds or other type of mixed superfood. The one I use has like
10 different seeds all mixed in. Stuff like barley, sunflower seeds
etc.
-Fruit like strawberries and bananas

Right so get a decent sized saucepan. Take a cup and a half of oatmeal
and add in around the same amount of milk.

Get it heated up but not too hot as the oats need a little bit of time
to soften up. It should always look wet so if it starts drying out at
any stage add in more milk.

Next break off a handful of coca. The coca bar I use has 6 big squares
and I usually add in 2. This helps the porridge feel extra tasty so
add in more if you really don't like the taste of oatmeal but 2 should
be enough.

Also add in the honey at this stage. I usually go for a decent 2
teaspoons. Stir the coca and honey in well and make sure it is all
melted.

Next peanut butter. I go for a big table spoon. This will cause the
porridge to dry out a bit so again add in more milk if it is getting
too dry. Stir it all up again to get an equal texture.

Right now time for the flax mix and other seeds or grains you like. I
put in about a third of a cup but that might be too much for your
first time. Try about 1/4 cup and see how you get on. Once you get
used to it you will probably start adding in more.

Last I put in some chopped up bananas and strawberries. other things
that go well are raspberries, blackberries and the odd time kiwi
fruit. Again you might switch this around a bit but I find all those
fruits work well with the taste.

That's it. Serve in your favourite bowl and get ready to tackle the
day like a man.

Warning 1: It looks weird but don't be put off it tastes amazing.

Warning 2: This stuff can take an hour to clean off your saucepan if
you don't put it under hot water straight away after cooking. Maybe
even give it a quick light scrub before you eat the stuff because it
sets like cement. I have laid to rest a few saucepans because I forget
to soak them in hot water straight away afterwards. That's the power
of super porridge.

Enjoy!

That is a caloric bomb. Unless one has a very physically demanding job or routine, it is not a god idea to get so much calories in only one meal (I guess in that bowl are some 50% calories of what a guy like me - who works in an office - need to eat in a day).

Ya that's the idea. This stuff fills you up big time. I have a fast metabolism and am a hard gainer. If you are worried about your weight probably not the best.

I got some secret spots if you want to PM me but castlegregory, lahinch, easkey and bundoran are the main good spots. Lahinch has a nice mix of nearby reefs and slabs as does easkey. Plus plenty of good food and pints. Maybe even some ladies around looking for free lessons. Of course free lessons come at a price...
