Has anyone got anyone got any experience with this? It's peaked my interest, and was curious what kind of workout you get, best equipment, places to go, ect.
I surfed on and off for years, but was wanting to try something different.

I used one a few times when I lived in Hawaii but never cared for it or the type of workout I got with it. I can't imagine using one with big waves like the guy in the picture above. Most people use them on calmer water and just cruise along.
I'd get a kayak with stabilizers (for the ocean) or wind surf. You'll burn a ton of calories using both and scratch your adrenaline itch.

Not interested in kitesurfing. Kiteboarding maybe, but it wasn't worth trekking across the country to be stuck around a bunch of jackasshole tourist in overpriced towns with little legit pussy.

I've done it a few times on a lake and it's a lot of fun. You get a lot of core exercise and it's good for the arms too. All in all, it's a good activity and I usually take a date to do it.
