BAT: Bloomberg Assessment Test

Have you taken it?

Did it create any value for you? If so, how? Did you get invited to any interesting interviews, contacted by anyone with huge wallets and something interesting to say?

I just took it the day before yesterday. 3-hour closed book test in 11 (about 165 questions total) subjects ranging from mathematical and verbal skills to financial statement analysis, corporate valuation and investment banking. There is also situational & ethical judgment... I did the worst on that one [Image: lol.gif]

Kinda like the SAT for finance.

First time you take it's usually free, after that each test costs USD50. You can read more @ The Bloomberg Institute

Also had no idea this existed, thanks. Was there a section on using a Bloomberg Terminal?

It's fun to do the talent search and then see how many of the top scorers speak mandarin and study at a top-school [Image: lol.gif]

@theoak: I didn't prepare, and did well in 8 out of 11 subjects, but didn't score 100% in any of them. So if the employer searches for someone in my region based on those subjects, hopefully I'll be near the top of the list because my average will be high. Globally I disappear in the mass of people who've scored 100% in many areas. I have a hard time imagining how one can prepare for this test. Best preparation in my view is to do well in those subjects in school.

Test had nothing to do with Bloomberg itself. Just the academic subjects listed.
