A lot of times when I'll go out, I'll have a sure lay, but a lot of times she will just be mediocre and I think I can find better and end up with nothing. It happened last night. I met a girl, end up making out with her within the first 5 minutes of meeting her, and then basically tell her to fuck off and that I'm going to another bar. My friends thought she was a 7, I thought she was a 6 at highest. This seems to happen to me quite often. Should I just lower my standards a little or just not get laid as much? It's pretty dificult to find hot single women here. Most of them are either not that cute or have a boyfriend. I would say 1 out of 5 nights I could pull a real cutie and I only go out once or twice a week.

Miami Beach, NYC, DC, New Orleans off the top of my head. SF has some rule bending late night stuff. I forget about Chicago, I think its later though.

I was at a club last night in Miami Beach - last call was 10:00AM - I ordered a Latte, and went home with my swoop for the night/early morning.
It's very rare you see clubs in Miami close before 4:00am, and there are a ton of after-hours spots that continue until 3:00pm the next day!! Club Space is an example of a club that keeps the party going - last call is 2:30PM the next day!
Y'know, what with all the emphasis on travel outside the US, maybe some sorta reference list of dope cities within the borders would be worth compiling. Last call hour strikes me as a factor worthy of consideration.
Man, I live in a pretty small ski town and last call is around 2. I didn't even know there really was a such thing as last call until I moved out here. I thought it was legal to drink in the streets and the bars stayed open all night, since I'm from Vegas. Last call does kill the night a lot of times. There have been many times I've been cut off gaming for last call. As a matter of fact, last week I met probably the hottest Brazilian girl I've ever seen in the US while she was smoking a ciggarete alone. I didn't meet her until 1:40ish so I only really got to talk to her for 15-20 minutes. I'm definitely not in a great spot for meeting girls. Looking pretty foward to that move to Denver.
Yeah I am in Boston now and the 2am thing sucks. Hanging out in Miami you get spoiled.
I'd say in any place with an early curfew you need to have an after hours scene pegged. For example, LA is 2am close. The real parties don't start until after the bars close, in the mansions up in the hills. Most people that aren't hunting for celebrities just pass up the clubs altogether, and chill between one or two nice spots up in the hills all night where they can do whatever they want for as long as they want, no bar tabs or police to worry about. Or they just party in Vegas.
I'd say your best bet is similar; if you have access to a dope spot, even if it is your friend's, or even just a nice hot tub for late night shenanigans, leverage that. Start working it so you can get a nice regular after hours crew, even if the girls aren't that fine; when you DO find a cute girl in the bar, it'll be easier to extend the party by saying "me and these 10 other people are going to XX's hot tub/ski chalet for an after party; come through." If she sees that you are with girls and girls will be at this after party, she will rarely say no, especially on a weekend. The game is won and lost in the 2nd half, and if the bars are closing at 2am then the 2nd half is not played in a bar, feel me?

Take ATL of the list. The last call here in the city limits is 2am. We have one county in the metro area that has a 5am last call. Nightlife in ATL is not what is used to be because of the early last call, however people are now lobbying to change that.

Its strange, as a few years ago I would have told you that lowering your standards was probably worth it. Depending on your chances of actually pulling anything better, due to your location, that still might be your best bet.
The logic would have gone like this:
Is it better to be consistently celibate, or to spend some quality time and have sex with a super cool 6-7? If you are attracted at all, its better to be with, than completely without. If for nothing other than to keep the sword sharp, if you will. The confidence / non-neediness that arises with being in-practice will increase your chances when something better comes along.
However, theres nothing like a 8.5-10 looking into your eyes as you plow her from behind. And, you won't get them if your wasting time with someone else. So, I feel your indecision.
I'd say, bang the cooler 6-7s. Leave the stupid ones be. And form a game plan to up your chance of encounters with the hotter girls.
And still hit on ones with boyfriends, both directly and subtly. Plant the seed. It would be a mistake to ignore them. When their relationship goes bad, and they're horny from not getting any in a few weeks, you want your number to be the one that they dial.
The last call in Honolulu is officially 4 a.m. In all of the tourist heavy areas everything closes then. After they banned smoking, a lot of trendy spots decided to call themselves "private clubs" so people could smoke inside. The first time you go there you have to pay $20 and get invited in by someone who has already paid and has the bar's business card. Because of this, these clubs are no longer regulated and stay open until 7 or 8 a.m. It's nice but it put all of the shady after hours spots out of business.

I was in my favorite bar in Tallinn two weekends ago. It's a really tiny cellar with just one window in the corner facing out to the street. I knew it was time to go home when I looked out the window and saw that it was daylight (this was around 7am).
The latest I've ever been in a bar is 10am in Prague. The streets were full of people going about their daily routine when I left. It was a surreal experience.

Topshelf, those types of places don't really exist all that much where I am. I also live one town over from the town I party in and last but is 2:15. Sometimes those things work out, but rarely.

That last ski bunny I took home took her gear off and changed into a bikini, the girl had one of the most bangin bodies I've seen in a long time.
