Was waiting to see your list, it doesn't disappoint. I've been wanting to get into some Le Labo scents.

And your comment on La Nuit being a milf killer couldn't be more spot on, they fucking love the stuff.

Thierry Mugler sucks, lol this kid is a rookie. Pure Malt is a brilliant scent, as are A* Men, Pure Coffee, and a few others. Somewhat overrated and they sell out quick, but nice fragrances nonetheless. My collection:

Guerlain:
Tonka Imperiale
L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme
Spiritueuse Double Vanille

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Yves Saint Laurent:
L'homme
La Nuit de L'homme
Body Kourous
Live Jazz

Chanel:
Allure
Edition Blanche
Platinum Egoiste

Dolce and Gabana The One

Dior:
Homme
Homme Intense

Creed Aventus

I've got shit tons of samples too, not worth listing them all.

GQ, question for you. I've read in various publications such as Men's Health and Men's Fitness that men's fragrances tend to last around 2 years and then begin to "go bad". Is that a fallacy? I keep my bottles in a dark, cool closet shielded from sunlight. Surely I'm going to get more than two years out of them, right?

If you store them well I don't think you should have a problem. I've never had a fragrance for that amount of time though, so I'm not sure. Have a look around on Basenotes.

I am pretty sure I have a study somewhere that showed women prefer female perfume on a man. I'm not talking like what old women wear or cougars, but the kind that can almost be unisex. I used to wear the D&G light blue for women. Just a hint and I have to say out of all the colognes and aftershaves I have worn that one got me the most compliments. I may try it again and keep notes on how many compliments I get from 7's and higher.

I will try and find the link, I think I have it saved in my email.

^^^I used to wear some unisex or female fragrances. Shalimar by Guerlain or Angel by Thierry Mugler can work very well on men IMO. A few Serge Lutens fragrances that are marketed to women are also good options (Un Bois Vanille and Chergui)

I use this but don't lnow how long it lasts on me when I spray some.

Is there anything that has that classic, old school smell, is very strong and lasts long as hell? I hate the sweet smelling colognes and don't care if that's what girls like.

That's a classic. I've owned that in the past.

Hah yeah that Boss is a classic used to use that a lot.

A really old school scent is Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Expensive but unique and very masculine.

Issey miyaki has a great men's scent too, forget the name but it comes in a cool light colored bottle.

That's really expensive though, 87 pounds for 30 ml. Anyone ever used Abercrombie Fierce? It does smell unique, but it's just too overpriced in the UK.

Perfumania.com is doing a 35% off + free shipping sale for Cyber Monday (doesn't include Creed). Not sure how long it will last considering it's technically Tuesday but it worked for me just now.

Their selection isn't the best but you can't beat that deal. Picked up YSL L'Homme and Rochas Man for $65 after tax and shipping.

I also own YSL M7 and Versace Dreamer.

You're missing out on being opened by women who want to ask what scent you're wearing or to tell you how good you smell and on extra interest from the women you're already talking to.

I don't own all of these colognes at the current moment but I have owned all of them in the past. The two I am wearing right now are:

1. Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin - This is really good for cold weather, it has a warm kind of cotton candy type smell that my friend E said was the sexiest cologne she had ever smelled.

2. Versace Man Eau Fraiche - This is what I wear in warmer weather. It has a sharp citrus note that lasts for a long time and is a very clean scent.

............

I consider all of the following to be classics:

Creed Green Irish Tweed - considered by many to be the finest male scent ever created. It is prohibitively expensive but definitely worth the cost.

Dolce & Gabana Pour Homme - It's kind of played out but it's one of my favorites. It reminds me of my younger days when I was a teenager.

and finally, what I consider to be the best cologne of all time, "The Dreamer" by Versace. It's so well balanced, and the drydown is simply amazing. It's like the more it starts wearing off the better it smells. I've been complimented more on this scent than any other I've ever worn.

You should get this one:

Quality scent, perfect day time go-to scent. Can be worn in pretty much every situation. Dressed down, going to the grocery store, at work, in class, whatever.

I own and wear these...

L'eau Di'Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake - my goto hot weather scent, because I have too much of an individuality complex to wear Aqua Di Gio.

La Nuit De L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent - for formal stuff and random everyday use.

Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier - no explanation needed.

1 Million by Paco Rabanne - despite it's reputation for overuse and it being labeled as a "clubbing scent", I've never noticed another dude around where I live wearing it, and I actually really like this stuff for general cold weather wear... Smells awesome and gets noticed. Just have to go easy on the trigger!

Fuel for Life by Diesel - not much to say on this stuff, just tried it on a whim and enjoyed it. Surprisingly good offer from a jeans company.

Fierce by Abercrombie & Fitch - yeah yeah, laugh all you want, but it gets attention and I enjoy the smell.

Angel Men by Thierry Mugler - chocolate, caramel, vanilla, leather, musk, earthy patchouli, and pipe tobacco all rolled into one incredibly strong and weird fragrance; smells like a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, a caramel latte, a bakery... In cold weather, bitches go crazy for this stuff. I don't believe in panty dropper colognes, but this stuff is the closest equivalent as far as I'm concerned.

I'm interested in trying these, but haven't for one reason or another...

Chanel Allure (I really should get around to this...)
Versace The Dreamer (Discontinued and hard to find.)
Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle (Expensive)
Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford (Expensive)
Green Irish Tweed by Creed (Expensive)

My two lines when opened while wearing cologne.

Her: Wow, what are you wearing?
Me: Windex

--------or---------

Her: I love that cologne, what is it?
Me: Baby, all you are smellin' is burnt rubber and astroglide!

NEVER tell a girl your scent.
