What are your thoughts?
Russia and Ukraine is out. No way am I headed to -30 temperatures. Poland is also harsh and it's only November.
Scandinavia, too dark.
How about Serbia and Croatia for these winter months or are they better saved for the summer?

You're misinformed about russia being -30, Krasnodar is very warm in the winter.

Quite. Russia is a big place and Krasnodar is near the black sea. With regards to Russia I am only really committed to Major cities since I do not speak Russian. But that is for another thread.

No. Moscow has over 10,000,000 and that was hard enough. [Image: smile.gif]

No Russia is definitely not in Europe.
I usually go some where hot in Jan/feb but I am really enjoying europe at the moment so want to find best places that don't come to a stand still because there is a foot of snow outside and no one can be bothered to leave the house.

Croatia should be saved for Summer as in Winter everything at the coast is closed down and the very strong & cold Bora wind is hitting the whole coastline .
Wouldn't go for serbia either in the winter months, the stereotype of grey and depressing EE gets true in that time.

It's already winter where I live, going to be -30 tomorrow at 19:00 and -20 during the day. [Image: dodgy.gif]

If your rich you can hob knob with the glitterati in the Italian alps, otherwise try elsewhere

Is this not the case for all of EE? I am looking at overall temperatures for various cities and I guess it's just a case of avoiding the ones that drop below -3. Balkans actually fare quite well compared to other EE destinations.
Also I not really interested in headed to the coast for the summer after reading Rooshs thoughts on Hvar. I dont really like beachy holidays that much anyway.

I would definitely recommend Portugal.
Mild temperatures during the winter months esp in Algarve and even in Lisbon. Relatively cheap place to visit and live for a month or 2. Awesome food. Decent looking girls and cool laid back vibe.

I recommend Prague was there in November. There will not be any tourists so easy pickings! I spend last year in Portugal and Spain and the weather was fine so if you cant bare the cold definitely a good option.

Agree with everything, but the girls will be insanely hard nuts to crack.

I agree also, since I'm well.. Portuguese [Image: icon_lol.gif]

However, Algarve (the south of Portugal) is a bit of desert during the winter. I don't think that there's much to do. My pick, Lisbon or Porto. Girls from the north are much funnier to be with when compared to girls from Lisbon. Couchsurfing will be your friend to find a girl (preferably with lots of girl friends). Hit me up if you plan to go to Lisbon. I can give you some tips on what to do, see, party.
