Hormone Oxytocin May Keep Men From Cheating

Wouldn't be surprised if this already made news on the forum but I hit the gym at 5am this morning and saw this story on one of the screens.

Oxytocin is a hormone that's secreted from the pituitary gland and produced by the hypothalamus. It can help start or strengthen labor, facilitate nursing and slow down bleeding after labor. The hormone can also help create a stronger bond between parents and children and between couples and is sometimes called the "cuddle hormone." Now, researchers are saying it may help people stay in monogamous relationships.
Stay away from this stuff, gents.

It may not have been mentioned in this article but the story is that they are selling an oxytocin hormone spray for women to put on men to keep them from cheating. That spray is what I was referring to when I said stay away from that stuff.

I hear that massaging her breasts relases it in women, as it is supposed to be stimulated during breastfeeding to bond with the infant. So... grab her tits from behind while cuddling!

If you can get it from having sex, won't being exposed to it a lot from your woman desensitize you and make you crave more, turning you into a rabid pussy-slaying maniac?

What's the male equivalent? As in, the spray you can put on to make a lizard more likely to want to bang? what hormone is released when she is ovulating? They say lizards are most likely to cheat when she is ovulating. So what's the hormone she releases?

Researchers initially predicted that increased levels of oxytocin would make men less faithful. However they found that it made them more faithful. But only if they're in a committed long term relationship. It had no affect on single men.
Of course our body produces it when we bang. I wonder how it affects the pheromones or energy we give off. Ever notice how it's easier to swoop new women after swooping another? Women can tell when a man is sexually active and it makes him more desireable. I wonder if oxytocin has an affect on this.
The social implication of the study are disturbing. It is being presented as a way to prevent men from cheating. It presents cheating is a male condition that can be cured rather than looking at why men cheat; bitchy, boring, unattractive girlfriends and wives.
How many of you have cheated or had affairs? I have no problem with cheating. If I'm in a lukewarm relationship and have the opportunity to slay new pussy I will.

Pheramones, afrodisiacs, sprays to make people fall in love with you are all snake oil. If someone did invent one that actually worked, that company would be richer than Microsoft.

This isn't news, the psychological effects of Oxytocin have been known for a while. It's released in your brain after sex, and when breastfeeding. It makes people crave to be touched and to feel a bond with the toucher. Which is why women want to cuddle after sex and why women develop excessive attachment with their breastfed babies.
This is true, but I can't recall anyone proposing to use Oxytocin for this particular purpose. No one ever proposed weaponizing it for use against players...HA HA!
