Aside from the curiosity of how people live while in a totalitarian regime, I could imagine even the idea of possibly running away to a free country the easiest way into some pants anyone could imagine. I have a close blood relative that has lived in NK for 3 years. I might identify myself if I give more info than that. He is very active on social media about his experiences. He has two men watching him every time he is in public. They submit independent reports of his actions in public. There is a bug in his room and he has shown it to me in skype conversations. My relative has to sneak around to interact with NK nationals outside of his normal work duties teaching at a school for elites. He is not a player and very conservative so I don't have any useful data for the forum. He is one of few Americans in NK.
I live in NE China and work at a major university. In my apartment building on campus there are 6 North Korean girls. All but one are hot. They come from money, their parents are allowed out to do business. I've tried to small talk with them many times but the interaction doesn't go very far. They are truly nuts in the head and if you discuss politics they may say things like -- we will all die for the great leader to protect our land.

FWIW I am Korean (Korean-American) and there is a saying:
남남북녀
This translates to Southern men, Northern women.
It is an old Korean saying - apparently the North Korean women were known for being beautiful (before the Korean War, starvation, etc)

I thought this Wikipedia article was interesting because it shows where North Koreans can visit without the hassle of getting a visa. I guess it's all moot since their own Government will not let them leave. However, barring that, it's more useful to have this passport than one from Afghanistan.
