Don't underestimate the thirstiness of many a western male-their devotion to individual pornstars can run very, very deep. They'll go to war for some of these hoes.

people still have favorite porn stars and fetishes that they will pay for. i dont think production costs are high either. after all porn stars dont make that much money, directors, light guys and camera men are not making much either. since the content can be distributed online that makes it cheaper than before since tapes/dvds production arent involved. its also easier for consumers to buy content this way since no packaging/shiping involved, if they are horny they just pay the credit card and have instant access to the content. aditionally its probably easier/cheaper to do marketing to target audiences through the internet.

that said the profits for the porn industry might not be as high as in the past

Completely false. These days with the mass amount of free content available, having a site with a lot of content means nothing. It could actually be counter-productive as its seen as low quality content, in many case IT is low quality content.

The problem with some of these well known porn sites is that they have become very "homogenous", in the sense that they dont have much variety anymore in their pornsites. For example i was a brazzers member for a while and i didnt mind pay 130 dollars per year to be a member and watch all movies from the best big butt chicks.
