So I am currently in Honolulu and wanted to piece together all the information which I found in this thread, Hawaii Datasheet, so that I could have it at my fingertips while out and about. Here's what I did and it worked great:
Logged into my google account and went to maps and started searching for all the venues I found in the thread which seemed like something I would want to hit. As I found them I just saved them to a new custom map which was made public and I titled, RVF Waikiki Datasheet Map. To make it even more detailed, I copied in the notes whatever was said about the venue on the thread.
So for instance, this place Genius Lounge & Sake Bar I put in the notes:
"You can try your hand on Japanese girls at Genius Lounge. That's another date spot of mine, but it has no cover and there are always some very sexy, classy, fashionable Japanese girls in there. "
Now I have details while on the go in addition to the venue name and location. The map is also public as I mentioned so if you go to google maps and search for "RVF Waikiki Datahsheet map" it should come up and be available for all to use. Since it is public, people can now also use it and update it as things change.
I also threw my hotel on there and changed the icon for it so it didn't blend into the rest of the locations. I didn't go crazy on customizations, but you could for instance make all clubs a red marker, all bars/lounges a blue marker, and strip clubs a different color.
Now on my phone when going into the google maps app, you select layers and then one of the options is "My Maps-> RVF Waikiki Datasheet Map". Boom! I have all the nightlife venues mapped out and as I walk around I can see exactly where they are in relation to me.
This to me is a game changer which will make my life that much easier while on the road. I can map it all out before I even arrive, and then add venues once I am there as well.
I will do this in the future for all datasheets that I post and title the map "RVF 'City Name' Datasheet Map". It would be great if in the future everyone would do so also because over time then you can just search in google maps and we'll have a little collection there.
