Enigma, where did you get those navy chukkas? Look quality.

They do look kind of Navy in that picture because of the lighting but they're actually a matte black. The material is nubuck.

They're classic Clarks Desert Boots but they were only a limited release in that color and material. I bought them two years ago but they're still in very good condition simply because I don't wear them much.

@Fisto and Nudge

I got mine from Buffalo Exchange. It's a high end used clothing store in L.A. (we have tons of em here, Aardvarks, Crossroads, Wasteland, etc) . They basically cherry pick places like Goodwill or have people bring in their designer used clothing that's in new/almost new condition and then sell them at like 80% off retail.

Those Aldos have been extremely durable, I've basically put them through hell. I've had them for several years and gotten serious wear in nightclubs and bars. They were stiff and a little uncomfortable when I first got them but the leather is totally softened and fits my feet like a glove now. It's just the outside that's gotten scuffed up but even that contributes to a nice "weathered" look that's in style in the city.

Looks to be a discontinued style called Myrsa

Plus you can always dye them black if you are in India and in a pinch for "dress" shoes and don't want to lose any height.

I'm a big fan of the Clarks Desert Boot Beeswax. Any of you guys rock the DBs during the winter? They are slippery and don't hold heat well, but winters are pretty mild in DC. I'm off to Poland in a few days and have a feeling DBs won't be enough.

How about the perfect combination of a boot that can handle the cold, wet weather and is also comfortable enough to be used for walking around all day (for something like sightseeing)?

I need to pick up a good boot that meets those specs before I leave.

Any recommendations?

I feel like I don't need to wear boots if I am going to cover most of it with my jeans.

I want to try this way though (jeans tucked inside boots)

I am pretty sure in small town U.S, this would be considered gayish...

Is it just me or are these kind of funny looking? Looks like they have 3 different soles.

Best reason to wear boots is because they give you a few inches of lift.

I have some like this except with no strap and a zipper instead of laces. I dont know if I can wear with them a t shirt and jeans so they've just been sitting in my closet.

This is the next best thing to posting a picture of your face. You can tell a lot about a person by their footwear.

Here's a viable option, although Nason isn't producing anything right now that is exciting me. Am on the trail for something. Didn't want lace up's, but it looks like that'll be the route I take.

Here's another thread with some viable options:

Why not order them online? Or try Big and Tall stores. I used to go to Buffalo to do my shoe shopping.

I rock boots and shoes that are hand-made and English either Cheaney, Churches or Barkers not massively expensive around £250 a pair but I like to wear stuff that is made by craftsmen rather than cheap crap made in china or India branded with a fancy name that ridiculously inflates the price.

Calvin Klein Orions were the perfect boot for California. I bought these new from a guy on ebay for 80 bucks shipped. I'm so sad they're impossible to find now. I also have black desert boots - can't go wrong.
