Caught wind of this particular program from Simon Black. I am totally down for the concept but, in this instance, I don't think 4 days is enough time to really hone in essential survival skills. I'd need at least 4 weeks if not 4 months. $1500 for 4 days seems like a racket. Ithaca ain't nearby either.
You guys know of any other (more reasonable) ones?
Maybe I should call this guy.

Study some survival guides and go practice. Start by doing what you can around the house, like building fires, sharpening blades, then go on short camping trips. $1500 for 4 days sounds like a serious ripoff.

For $1500, you could equip yourself with a bugout bag, an inexpensive .22, and enough ammo to live off the land for months or even years.
The only things worth a damn in those situations are mental clarity and dexterity in certain skills like building a fire. That involves practice. The other thing to consider is that very often you will need to compromise comfort in order to survive. If you can't mentally handle rolling around in mucky shit to keep you from getting hypothermic then your mind wont adjust its priorities correctly and you will make poor choices that may hurt you.
