Jackson Heights, Queens

Ive only scoped out Jackson Heights one time during the day. I popped into Cositas Ricas for some overpriced almuerzo colombiano, and as advdrtised many of the waitresses had some serious ass. But when Iwas there it was super busy and I didn't do any damage.

Walking around during the afternoon, it seemed like there just were parents and kids around. A few bars on roosevelt ave seemed like strip clubs alo latino and some others like regular sports bars.

Overall I didn' see much talent aroumd that afternoon, but I'm looking to give it another chance. Anyone got some good spots to reccomend?

In my short stint in New York, I stayed near Jackson Heights. The 7 train at Jackson Heights was where I traversed in and out of Manhattan. Daygame was much more tolerable than night game since there are a lot of families during the day, yet there were lot of females alone and in sets of two were at and around the station waiting for the subway. That is where I made some approaches to no avail. However, I was cat-called by a milf-aged woman (7) at night from Colombia after walking past her with my night gear on who was with her friend from Nicaragua (7). She said, "Dios," when I walked past her. I was like "did you say something to me?" She changed it to "adios," and waved for me to go away. I moved toward them and said, you did not say "adios," you said "Dios." I spoke broken Spanish with them afterword and had them laughing. Asked if I could go eat them, found out they both were married and moved on. At night, there were many a prostitute walking along Roosevelt and a heavy police presence.

Jackson Heights is an extremely diverse neighborhood in Queens, New York. Most of its residents are Hispanic, although countless nationalities are represented. It is often considered to be a Colombian neighborhood, although there is some dispute as to whether there is presently a stronger Colombian or Ecuadorian presence in the neighborhood. The biggest Hispanic groups there are Colombian, Ecuatorian, Dominican, Peruvian, and Mexican. There is also a strong South Asian community from India and Pakistan. The South Asian part of the neighborhood appears to be largely segregated from the Hispanic part of the neighborhood. You will know when you are in which area.

Getting there:
It has been written in this thread and in others that you can get to Jackson Heights via the 7 train. This is entirely correct. The 7 can take you from Times Square in Manhattan directly to the Jackson Heights subway station. You can also get to Jackson Heights via the M and E trains. Both of these trains of course leave from Manhattan. The E train is the best choice, because it is an express train with fewer stops than the 7 or the M. Please be advised that the E train is not always running and you are sometimes forced to resort to the 7 or the M. I think the creator of the E train may very well have been an international playboy himself. He needed to create the quickest route to pull girls in Jackson Heights. Taxis can get you from Manhattan to Jackson Heights pretty fast, but they can be expensive. The way that New York taxi drivers drive often makes me sick. I also avoid driving in New York completely. Take the E. If it's not running take either the 7 or the M.

Nightlife:
Nightlife in Jackson Heights is almost exclusively bailaderos. These are bars in which girls are employed to dance with the almost exclusively male customers and to encourage them to buy drinks. These places were discussed on at least one other thread and there was a bit of a difference of opinion on them. One poster was raving about them, while Mixx did not like the idea of paying a girl to dance with you. Interestingly, I was never asked to pay a girl to dance with me. The girls in these places are generally not good dancers. Many of then can't dance and some, who are mostly Dominican, are decent, but not great, dancers. The girls who work in these places will often ask you to buy them drinks. The drinks for the girls are often two, three, or more times the price of the drinks which you buy for yourself. If you spend an inordinate amount of time in these places, you will end up spending too much money and will quite possibly have little or no success. Treat these places like strip clubs. Go in, find the best girls there, try to get some girls' numbers, maybe buy a drink for yourself or even for one of the girls, and move on to the next bailadero. There are so many of these places on Roosevelt Avenue that you can hit many of them in just one night. I spent a fair amount of time in the bailaderos this summer and will give you a breakdown.

Casanovas:
This place was discussed on another thread and was possibly the most popular of the bailaderos. To the best of my knowledge, this place no longer exists.

La Nueva Escuelita:
This place has the best talent of all the bailaderos I went to. It also has the most expensive drinks and the most aggressive girls as far as pressuring you to buy drinks. I did pick up one notch from there this summer. Because of the quality, this place should be tried, but anyone who goes there will probably agree with me on the overall annoyance of the girls there.

Melao:
It appears that this place is relatively new, but I believe it previously existed in another location. In my opinion, this place has the best set-up, attitude, and overall vibe of all the bailaderos. Unfortunately, the talent is somewhat lacking. I went on a date with an Ecuadorian girl from there, but didn't get the notch.

The place right next to Melao (I cannot remember the name for the life of me. If it comes to me I will post it):
The talent in this place is pretty low, but the bartenders, most of whom are Colombian, are much better than the other girls who work there. The is an Ecuadorian girl who bartends there who for some reason decided to cockblock me by telling the girls that I am her husband. I have no idea what that was about. I have her number and may give her a call the next time I go to New York.

Mangos:
This appears to be the most popular of the bailaderos. I went there on a weekend night and the place was completely packed and the girls were all with guys. The talent appeared to be pretty good, but I cannot say that it is better than La Nueva Escuelita.

Other bailaderos are Hairo's (interesting spelling), La Jungla, and Castillo's. I have never been to any of those places, but any information on them would be appreciated.

Restaurants:
Listo El Pollo is a Colombian Restuarant in Jackson Heights which is sometimes called the Colombian Hooters. It has attractive girls working as waitresses there. The food is decent, but not great, but in my opinion, all the girls who work there are acceptable. There is also a bar there. Although I have seen attractive girls by themselves at the bar, it is almost all guys there. Go there to eat and maybe get some numbers.

Seba Seba:
This is a Colombian style diner or coffee shop. It is good for getting natural juices or some snacks like empanadas.

La Pequena Colombia:
This place has typical Colombian food much like Listo El Pollo. The waitresses don't look nearly as good though.

I was very impressed with the tacos which can be purchased from the varios taco trucks in Jackson Heights. They have tacos al pastor and the tacos are really cheap.

Daygame spots:

Roosevelt Avenue
Broadway
37th Avenue

Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst. I realize that it is not technically in Jackson Heights, but it is close-by and is accessible via the M train. This place is hit or miss. You may need to go there multiple times to have any remote success there.

Hotels:
I stayed at the Wyndham Garden in Long Island City. Don't let the words Long Island fool you. This hotel is one subway stop from Manhattan and a few subway stops from Jackson Heights via the 7,E, or M train. This is a new hotel, is relatively inexpensive, and if you drive to New York, you can park safely on the street. They were in the process of completing a parking lot for the hotel, but as of early August, the lot was still not complete. The hotel is two to three blocks from the Court Square-23rd Street subway station which serves the E and M lines. You can take an underground pathway to the Court Square station which serves the 7 and G lines. The G line can take you to Brooklyn. It took me a while to figure out the underground pathway. It is best just to ask someone.

Another hotel option which is actually closer to Jackson Heights is the Panamerican Hotel in Elmhurst. This is very convenient to the Queens Plaza Mall, which is a prime daygame spot. This hotel is slightly less expensive than the Wyndham Garden and looks somewhat impressive on the website. In real life, it looks pretty worn. I cannot comment on the rooms there as I have never been in one. One benefit of the Panamerican is that it has a latin club on the first floor which is somewhat popular on Friday and Saturday nights. I went to the club on a Friday and the only thing resembling talent was the two girls behind the bar, one Peruvian and one Calena. They were giving me tons of IOS's and I was trying to at least numberclose them when two 250 pound Colombian girls came up and starting grabbing me and I couldn't get rid of them. I'm not making that one up. I wish I were. Cockblock of the century.

I stayed in Elmhurst near the airport. Taxi to 76th (ish) and Roosevelt ran $18 dollars. Lots of talent walking around but I didn't get a bang down there. Having some experience now in this part of the world might help.

Right around 76th was a pay to dance place. Never went in, but all the dudes I saw coming out were busted as fuck. A player might be able to go in and swoop. Spent 4 days in the area, ate some great food, and people were very friendly to me. Most were curious, and were receptive to me making an attempt to speak Spanish.

Still, NYC is expensive, and I'd rather chase these girls on their home turf.

That place is called El Abuelo Gozon. Some horrible D.C.-area grenades were making too much noise while I was writing my last post and I couldn't even hear myself think.

They're probably excited about Roosh's return![Image: banana.gif]

I cannot believe there is a data sheet about Jackson Heights. I've never considered an adventure here as I'd come to believe these bars are highly segregated and you will absolutely be a fish out of water here. I hit up a bar in Queens similar to what has been mentioned above, though not in Jackson Heights, and I couldn't wait for that beer to be done quick enough. I was met with disapproving eyes, to say the least.

I find these "townie" bars to be more welcoming in the third world because its so obvious that your traveling ass just wanted to check out the scene. I find stepping into these bars in an NYC neighborhood more troublesome because you just know not to frequent these places. The view is, a gringo in these bars is up to something no good.

I've been to Jackson Heights several times and walked around the area, but never knew where to go, etc. Good stuff.

Now we just need a data sheet on all the places in New Jersey, which i heard are even better.

I imagine you are referring to North Jersey communities like Union City, West New York, Weehawken, and the Ironbound neighborhood of Newark. I have also heard great things about those places. I'm from New Jersey, but am really only familiar with Cape May County and Atlantic County. All of my New Jersey information, which is limited to those two counties, was posted in my Jersey Shore Data Sheet, which was my first post ever.

This time last year, I saw three topless girls with obvious breast implants on Miami Beach. I approached them and it turned out that they live in the area of North Jersey which I just mentioned. I got the sense that they were strippers, quite possibly at the Squeeze Lounge in Weehawken. I didn't get the notches and really didn't pursue them, because they said they were flying back to North Jersey later that same afternoon.

I may very well go to visit those North Jersey communities in the near future and I will or course post any relevant data about those places. One downside to those places and to New Jersey in general is that although you can very often walk from place to place when you are in one municipality, when you need to get from one municipality to another, you often need to drive. I try to avoid driving whenever I can. In New York, you can take the subway to most places and can get around on foot after you can get there. That is part of the appeal of Jackson Heights for me. The E,M, and 7 trains take you to almost the exact spot where you need to be.

For all the interest in this area, is there anyone who actually has success there or would recommend it?

I mean it seems like the cute girls who live here spend there time elsewhere, which makes sense, working/studying/going out somewhere a little nicer than where you live is par for the course in NY...

Good question. For someone who is fully fluent in Spanish, is at least somewhat sociable, and is at least fairly confident, I would definitely recommend it. I have had some success there, but I haven't spend a great amount of time in New York City. The first time I spent even a night there was in May of this year. If you don't fit the criteria I mentioned, you may at least want to check it out, but you may experience some of the problems that another poster above mentioned. It makes little sense to me that anyone would make Jackson Heights his only destination in New York.

Frankly, unless you have some sort of Latin American cultural connection, or are absolutely hell bent on visiting this neighborhood for some reason unknown, then Jackson Heights is just another neighborhood in the NYC outer boroughs. I could not justify someone coming to NYC and visiting this neighborhood or its surrounding areas.

The same applies to Flushing which has the highest percentage of Asian people in one community outside of Asia. The food is as close as it gets to Asia, but the bars are extremely social circle oriented and not what you'd think they would be in terms of quality and quantity.

I have much to say on this. Later when I can get my thoughts together.
