Philippines in late September?
09-13-2012, 06:12 AM
I’m heading homeward after 3 months in EE. Going via Hong Kong / Philippines for 2 weeks.
Have read all the threads I can find here, though most of them are not so recent.
I have previously been in Manila and Davao.
This time I plan on visiting Boracay and /or Cebu, transiting through Clark, Angeles City.
My questions, for those of you with on the ground experience there …
1.Will Boracay be ok for weather around 17 – 30 September?
2.Best value “guest friendly” accommodation on Boracay?
3.Is getting from the airport to the Island easy, or should I make advance arrangements?
4.Best value “guest friendly” accommodation in Cebu? Apartment?
5.Clark, Angeles City – Does not appeal from all I have read, but the way my flights work, I will need to spend at least one overnight there. Any advice?
6.I will need to spend one overnight in Hong Kong. Any advice?
All suggestions welcome. Thanks guys.

Thanks for that Kona.
Just confirmed what I expected. So, stay the one night. Look but don't touch.
I am hopping over from HKG on AirAsia. Seemed like good value till they loaded all the extras on when I booked it, and they only fly into Clark.
Now looks like better value may have been to fly with a "more expensive" airline to avoid Clark.
Have just checked out 14 day weather forecasts for Boracay. Damn, it looks terrible.
So thinking I should focus on Cebu or even Makati / The Fort area of Manila.
Any ideas on safe comfortable coaches between Clark airport and Manila?

Yep, it's a shit hole indeed. I once had to fly out of the Phils from there and took a cheap ass room. There was one of those sex benches inside the room which looked liked some sort of exercise bench.
I walked around the stripclub street and was annoyed by all the whore mongers and bored looking strip girls. Sad place.

Am sitting in Clark airport (Angeles) at the moment. With 8 hrs to kill between arrival and flying onwards.
I have too much luggage to go anywhere for a look around.
Have canned Boracay for this trip as the weather forecast looks terrible.
I'm going to Cebu. Have booked a hotel that VP recommended.
Let's see how this works out
Dude, surely there must be luggage storage room somewhere. Drop your bags and at least have a look around Angeles. 8 hours is a long time on an airport.
Too bad about Boracay weather. In Cebu, go to Club Pump, Lot's of chicks there and Korean girls too.

I will be in boracay from 27Sept to 3rd Oct. I am not staying in any other city, just 6 days in boracay.
I will be staying in youth hostels. They always work for me. Lot of traveling girls looking for some holiday fun. Go for private rooms in youth hostels.
I am flying from Shanghai, so not interested in asian - have already had a lot. I will be trying to capture australian/russian flags.
A lot of nice inputs, will keep you guys posted about how did it go.

This place is shithole. My game is pretty strong, but here its just not working. Maybe its just raining and I am not able get the right mode. Maybe I just chose the wrong place to get away from Asians(My target was russian and australians). So far I have come across only two russians - I mean just two in last two days.
I miss Bali - I had one local and one scotish and i was there for just 3 nights.
I have just been on white beach for last two days. I am changing my strategy for now. I will be moving to a hotel(suggest something please - not too expensive) from youth hostel(though it has always worked for me, but not this time - too many people here). I am gonna do some walk around the other beaches and do some water sports. Also I will concentrate more on day gaming.
And whats up with all hoes here ? you can not walk 5 meters without bumping into 5 women on job.
I will be here for 4 more days. Waiting for some inputs.

Sorry to hear that sau.
I cancelled when I saw the weather forecast, and went to Cebu instead. Just in Makati for 4 days now before heading home.
I am beginning to think that Manila is the best place in PI because of volume and diversity. But only stay in Makati, where it is really nice and draw on prospects from the greater area.
I was just in Manila for a week and I feel exactly the same way. I've been in Cebu now for a few days and I feel like the prettiest girls are in Manila, and I get treated with the same novelty. We'll see how davao is
The only problem with Manila is the logistics. Many girls dont want to take the metro (because it is dangerous) to Makati or want you to pay for the long taxi ride. Nevertheless, banging a new girl every other day is normal there.
