Jos A Bank vs. Mens Warehouse

Both are very conservative stores. Even their "edgy" lines, CK Black at Mens Wearhouse, still leans conservative.

You're better off going to H&M or Zara.

if you live near the border or travel to the 3rd world consider having your suits made there. they would be tailored and cost less for sure

would anyone into fashion and looking to make an impression recommend either of these 2 stores?

American clothing is a bit wanting. Fly to Asia and get a few custom suits and shirts. At the right place, they will be super high quality and hand made to your spec (material, style). They will take your measurements and be able to order future clothes by email or phone. I recommend Sam's in Hong Kong for a bit of a cultural trip. http://samstailor.com/ I also have a few tailors in Bangkok. They will last years.

Pick up a flag or two while you are at it.

any chance those items can be ordered online? I realize you won't be fitted, but can you at least get the quality suit online and have it altered in the States?

Ok, as far as dress pants and shirts, would it be totally unthinkable to go, say to Ross or Marshalls... Ok, I'll wait till you stop laughing...... No, seriously, would it be totally unthinkable to go to Ross or marshalls, and get the most expensive, best names brand pants and shirts they have their? Sometimes they have actual named brand items, obvioulsy for less. NO, I would not get an entire suit there! But pants or shirts, provided they were the best they had, might be a possibility.

Yes. You can have measurements made here and sent to them. For fabric, they will actual send sample fabric. My tailor at Sam's told me that. I think other higher quality places will do the same.

One thing that impressed me is I bought 3 suits over a few year period. I lost 25 pounds. Brought them back in an altered them basically for free.

And they will serve you beer.
