Can anyone offer some pros and cons to the following...

I was thinking a simple website idea would be to have something like a photo essay with a new photo everyday. Say for example i have spent a lot of time in a particular country. I love taking photos. I can essentially upload a new photo everyday to this website. The photos would capture the daily life of a particular culture from my perspective (girls/food/wildlife/natural environment etc). Written content would be at a minimum. I don't think i have a enough new ideas or desire to blog on a daily basis. Initially this would be more for my learning experience but would there be someway to make it profitable?

Not as conceptualized but if you are just getting started getting started in ANYTHING is a good idea just to learn how it works and to cut your teeth on thinking through profitable ideas. If it's the case that you are traveling a lot and taking photos, would be great to have a site that reviewed expat retirement properties among other things.

It will be a social commentary, a test drive to see how the world likes my writing. I have knowledge on certain issues and as I build up a base, I'll start to market useful and pertinent material to generate income.

Yes you can make money off your erotica Moma. I've been doing it since 2004 and I've built up a nice fan base (99% which are women).

I write what I call "Reality Based Erotica" which is basically my personal stories of how I run game on women to get pussy.

An added benefit to getting paid is that since I write about the...types...of women that I like to fuck (smart chicks with game who like to be tied up/spanked and fucked in all three holes) I'm approached by women with those interests who want me to not only do them, but write about it (putting more money in my pocket) and/or be on the cover or internal pics.

I have my own publishing company and I'd be interested in seeing some of your work.

Bottom line if you can write and got stuff laying around publish it. You're sleeping on money. If you like it then there are plenty of folks out there willing to pay for it.

I have two blogs....one has a couple thousand visitors a month but has taken almost 2 years to get there...i have made some money from writing sponsored blog posts (up to $100 for 250 words!) but I had only 5 or so of those last year....made very little from adsense and CPM...sold some links also, but this depends on your page rank..so I made about $600 last year from one blog...not alot...but rewarding

you can make money blogging, but it is not 'blogging' in ther traditional sense....'blogging' is just writing about random thoughts, ideas, subjects that interest you.....you need to write articles that target keywords......

the most important things:

1)keyword rich content that brings you visitors (the more content = more visitors) some sites like urbantitan.com have over 500 posts, others over 2000!

2)More content means more keywords in google and this means more traffic to make money from...they say you need 100 unique visitors a day to make money from adsense...this i think is true!

you have to think of yourself as an advertising platform, you have an audience that advertisers want to target! aim for the big boys, like 100,000 page views a month to get into the big, trusted advertising networks.

The site may only last a few months, but it doesn't matter. In that short time, they have made tens of thousands of dollars...

...and they have several new sites lined up and being promoted....
so he has several sites with the nich/keywords combo....
The niche/keywords combo is the asset... this is what he protects
the website is disposeable...

So for new people they need to do the grunt work and find their own assets... then scale up.

I checked out their videos and read the PDFs. My first instinct was that their business model seems like a viable one. The free information they gave away seems good, then again I don't know much about that type of business so everything was fresh for me. On the other hand my BS detector went through the roof when watching the videos...certain things conflicted. They claimed that they just started selling on amazon recently, yet a little research shows that they had a course out last year so what gives? The price tag is ridiculous at 4k.

Bottom line, I don't doubt that these guys are making the dough they claim. I have an amazon seller account, and the video shots seem legit. With that said they must have spent tons of time researching and testing niche products to find the ones that give them those type of results. Who knows how much they've spent on products at a loss before they stumbled upon the successful ones...and that's the point...I highly doubt it's as 'easy' and 'simple' as they claim it to be. Finding the right product(s) is the key. My guess, it's extremely hard to find them and their bestseller status is very limited so it's easier to make some quick money by selling this 'course.'

I dont know about US tax laws and what your employer allows you to do.
Personally I would focus on making the money and start worrying about all that other stuff once the cash actually starts coming in. You could always look into tax-avoidance and offshore banking aswell.
