Been on Zinc about two months now based on this thread. Seeing all the positive effects listed.
Also feel absolutely great if I take L-Arginine with it.

I do Arginine too but I forget a lot. Doc told me to take 1,000 mg three times a day on empty stomach. Here's the thing though the only time I have an empty stomach is when I wake up. Or when I'm out and not near my Arginine. Haha. Gotta get better with that but when I do take 3,000-5,000 mg a day the difference is felt.
I should take some now but I just ate two pounds of grilled chicken cutlets.

Just a reminder that guys who take zinc should make sure they use
optizinc, a formulation that also contains copper in the right proportion. Wouldn't want anyone developing copper deficiency.
Optizinc:

MidnightSpecial totally agree, Arginine really kicks it into overdrive
It's the equivalent of no-fap for a month. Makes me totally primal
zerocool, yea I've taken it without. Basically get morning wood and shoot huge loads, but adding the arginine is what ups my libido like crazy

I got some really annoying cramps and vomitting deciding to take 300mg today, I'm going to drop it down to 50. As an aside I took the supplements on an empty stomach big mistake. Never had a problem before but this time it got me.

I can't believe zinc has had the effect I've been seeing lately. Shooting 3 loads like a cannon these past 2 days that's not normal at all for me. I feel great all day long. Could I have been low on zinc all these years!?!! I'm so glad this thread was here.

Jackreacher you said you were taking 300 mg. What brand were you taking? How long were you taking the 300 mg dose? I'm taking one tablet OptiZinc from Source Naturals which has 30 mg Zinc per tablet. Also, I added 1 gram L-Arginine twice daily and my initial observation is that I'm walking around kind of on edge and more short tempered than usual. Woke up this morning feeling more refreshed and well rested than I have in a while.

Once more -- I know I've posted this before and even very recently but I'd rather repeat myself endlessly than have someone doing this wrong:
1.
USE OPTIZINC -- you do not want to use a zinc formulation that doesn't have copper and develop copper deficiency. Bad news.
OptiZinc
2.
Do not take more than 35mg of zinc a day on a regular basis -- you really don't need more than that. You can make exceptions for special occasions.

I been taking 50mg a day for months now. I have some 2mg copper pills I take separate but I don't take them every day. Maybe once every 3 days or so.

OK it has really started to kick in now.
Have added in the following supplements each day:
Zinc - 90mg
ACV - 2 shots
Multi - 2 tabs
Vitamin D - 10,000 IU
Getting morning wood every day now! This is from next to none in the last 2 years. Amazing!
Because I added other supplements too I'm not sure if it's zinc or the other things that are doing it, but feel like a beast of late!

Why not Lizard? I figured if you took something like Optizinc then the body would dispose of any excess amounts of Zinc. Correct me if I am wrong.

I too have started Vitamin D (3000IU) supplementation. A few studies have shown a correlation between Vitamin D levels and testosterone levels, along with numerous other health benefits (see here for
link).

I personally have noticed vit D has helped with my mental well being. The energy was there for a while but now I think the effects are more subtle.
I tried Zinc but it did nothing, might have to give it another shot.

dreambig,
Zinc in supplement form can be tricky, esp. when taken for months on end. Here's a very good read:

OptiZinc certainly gives you some protection, but, even so, some people may have problems even at that dose. Be careful.

Thanks for sharing, I think I'll have to try this out. I've occasionally taken zinc supplements in the past.

I've been taking ZMA for about 6 months now. I haven't noticed the increased loads like a lot of you are talking about. I have; however, been having absolutely amazing sleeps since I started. I fall asleep quickly and sleep deeply. After the initial 10 minutes of groggy-ness in the morning, I feel great and wide awake.
EDIT:
Thought I should add the other supplements that I take.
1. Greens Multi+. I'm a big fan of Dr. John Berardi's work in nutrition and he recommends this. I actually started taking this when I was working up north where there's a lack of fresh vegetables. I love the stuff, gives me all kinds of energy and keeps me very regular.
2. Fish oil with vitamin D. I don't notice any acute effects from this supplement but it's one of the most recommended by almost all sources.
3. Creatine and whey protein.

I take 60mg of OptiZinc a day, and it's not enough.
Normally I down ACV daily and don't need any optizinc, as I wake up with wood tearing through the sheets and look to ravish any chick that moves.
Since I'm traveling I don't have any ACV on me, and with the 60mg of daily OptiZinc I'm waking up with a half-hard twig, and need chicks to physically stimulate me to get me ready to bang.
I'm going to up the OptiZinc to 120mg per day, half in morning and half at night. God I miss ACV.
