Compare yourself to before you started game and now

I'm rather interested in the experiences most of you have had regarding game, particularly in how your lives were like prior to going to the dark side and what the benefits of tightening up your game is bringing you now.

I noticed that several users here had beta tendencies in the past and that sparked my curiosity.

from my experience life before game was dark side. game wise nowadays it's 'sun shines, birds chirp, flowers bloom and panties drop' kind of thing, the side is the brightest it ever been.

Basically: I'm happier on a regular basis, my level of hate towards general humanity has approximately tripled, I'm a lot more likely to act out on impulse, I take notice of and talk to a lot more attractive women, I'm more jaded in regards to some aspects of life but less so in others, I've discovered that I absolutely love being the centre of attention, I find I can't really care for any one girl in particular anymore, I end up in far funnier situations due to not giving a fuck about the consequences, I'm more likely to lead an interaction, I don't give a shit about other people's opinions anymore, I've realised a lot of my friends are losers, I care less about anything material, people pay more attention to me, I'm more comfortable just letting a situation lean in my favour rather than making sure everyone else benefits, girls either like me more or hate me more - no middle ground here really, my life goals and priorities have totally changed, my temper when dealing with idiots has dwindled to basically nothing, and, of course, I get laid more.

Out of curiosity, where does this hate and despair of humanity come from that a lot of players experience when they take the red pill? Sure it's easy to be exasperated when you realise that things are different from what you thought they were - but why this feeling of hopelessness?

It seems to be similar to how some people become embittered with their parents when they realise they're not perfect (often after divorce or similar upsetting events). At some point you just have to accept that people are imperfect (and worse) -- there's no need to constantly be pissed off about it. Just surround yourself with cool people and don't stare too much into the abyss.

I understand jaded and cynical - but why angry?

It's a bit like a book on game theory I read recently where the author repeatedly said "game theorists have a very dim view of human nature", believing that people tend to simply act in what they believe is their own selfish interests. And that seems to be true.

As you say, Caligula, it really should be just jaded and cynical. But the anger comes because we are SOLD a very different world view--from our parents, our media, the stories we grew up with. And when you realize how the world tends to actually work, sure--it feels like you've been scammed. I think that's the anger. It fades, in time, to be replaced with a fairly grim (and more realistic) worldview... or, it grows and people become a bit psycopathic.

I think my hatred stems from the realisation that society turned me into who I used to be, and seemed satisfied with the job. It seems to me like humanity is totally bent on self destruction of our own race, and everything around it. Interestingly enough, a girl made a post on Facebook a few minutes ago about being part of different cultures (she's from an Asian country, living in Australia), but not really belonging to any in particular. While it seems like it was just a mild case of attention whoring, it struck me in an interesting way, relavent to this thread. What culture can I see myself fitting into now? I don't exactly pertain to the beliefs I grew up with anymore, but I now realise that I've been lied to my whole life about what I should want, and who I should try to be.

We're not just 'sold', as Stitch said, a different world view, we're given the view for free, then skillfully sold the idea that it is the right one. We don't even get the chance to consider the other views - the idea that other views even exist is quickly covered up. Upon discovering that other people are actually different, we're quickly sold the belief that ours is the best, because, how could anyone live any differently to you and be happy (ignoring the fact that we're probably not happy ourselves)?

This is where most of my disdain towards society in general comes from - the self destructive teachings and habits of those that we're supposed to trust.

Side note: I've always been somewhat disconnected emotionally from my parents for as long as I can remember. I think it was a strange mix of being showered with too much love in their presence, but their constant absence due to work. They've always been together though. Welcome to #RVFTherapySession

BEFORE:

Met women via luck and social circle. Wasn't satisfied with the women I was with. Lots of beta tendencies, and I look back and cringe at things I did, things I said, and opportunities I missed. Had no clue what I wanted.

NOW (10 years later):

Go out of my way to meet women. Lots of sexual experience, with many different girls and different types of girls. Understand women better, and understand myself better. Alpha tendencies, or at least the ability to pretend and turn it on when necessary. Have come full circle and enjoy long-term relationships, except on my terms. Have less respect for women than I had when I was younger, except for the precious few who have more going for them than a nice body.

Before Game: Putting other's needs before mine, extreme oneitises, afraid to initiate things, walking like the gravity is 1000 times stronger, afraid to push my opinions, always getting my threads hijacked.

Now (about a year of Game): Fucking badass. Stopped caring about most things, unless something is interesting to me or will make my life worse, or if someone honestly asks for my help without trying to push his agenda. Hit the gym, learned how to dance, enjoying reading. Stopped moving out of the way when on the street. Acquired abudance mentality. Burned a lot of bridges with "friends". Became more alpha than all my friends that have alpha tendencies. Became charismatic and fun, but still aloof, cool guy. Started enjoying life more than ever.
