question on blogs and signatures

Hey guys, I started a fitness blog to stay motivated and was curious if I could post the link to it in a signature. I owe a lot to the RVF for solid info.

My only issue is that I'm not sure if I can even edit a signature or have one currently. I'm also wondering if whoring out my own blog is considered bad mannered.

To edit your signature:

Go to the top of this forum page.

You should see something along the lines of 'Welcome back, Hades. You last visited...' Next to that line is 'User CP'. Click on it.

You will end up on your control panel.

On the left hand side you will see a menu.

Go down to the 'your profile' heading.

Then click on 'change signature.'

Make you signature the same way you make a forum post. You can even ask the forum to retrosignature all your previous posts.

As for advertising your blog, I've seen several people doing it, I enjoy checking out the member blogs. I'm not a moderator though, we'll need their input.

I've had mine linked in my sig for a while now. Gmanifesto has his, I think Neil Skywalker has his, and I'm sure there are others. Can't hurt to put it out there in as many places as you can.

I must be really dense or they moved this.

Under the 'the 'your profile' heading I see:
Edit Profile
Change Password
Change Email
Change Avatar

but no 'Change Signature'.

That's strange, but possibly the moderators have disabled signatures for people with low post counts.

I think you might be right, I will keep an eye on it as I post more.
