Campus game is not an option anymore

Yesterday i received a message from my school warning me and pretty much all students of "sexual assaults" that happened recently on campus.

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/crime/ar...udents-say

http://security.news.yorku.ca/2012/07/06...-assaults/

First of all, they said in the second link which is the actual campus security bulletin "In each case, a male suspect approached the women and attempted to speak to them before touching them."

Why would someone "engage in conversation" THEN "touch" a female? if they wanted to "touch" might as well do it right off the bat, why bother talking?

Also, there was no mention of what "touching" in this case entailed, as it could've been unwarranted hug/shoulder touch to as serious as grabbing the girl's ass/tits.

It could've been that they were trying to game and they did it horribly wrong.

According to the articles, and emails i received from the school, they tightened security more than ever.

I wonder if guys on campus will even try to make eye contact with a female from now on?

This total bullshit in the form of trying to make an example out of two guys for the rest of the male population of the school, sending a clear message that you have no say in wanting to get to know a female, she has to choose YOU, and failure to abide by this will result in you being hunted by campus police and Toronto P.D.

Knowing Toronto bitches, even if she "chose you", she'll make 2 second eye contact with you at most, in which case you'll have to decide to walk away or approach her and RISK your name being put on campus security bulletin and a city wide man-hunt for your ass.

Campus game is not an option anymore i guess.......thankfully i bought my ONE-WAY flight tickets outta here.

Definitely not rape. They were not clear about what "assault" or "touching" meant.

When I first read the headline I thought girls were getting raped on campus.

If it's just a couple of girls getting groped then the amount of hysteria is way out of proportion.

"Sexual assault" is chick-speak for "flirtations from non-alphas who should either learn to "be themselves" (i.e., know their place) or just kill themselves". If it's an alpha doing it, it's not sexual assault, it's something to brag about to her fellow subhuman sorostitutes.

The articles were so ambiguous that "sexual assault" could just be that they touched them on the shoulder.

This happens a lot these days on campus. Like Icarus says it doesnt mean anything if she is into you. I had a horror story, was flirting with a chick back and forth and one day she gets mad for some random reason.

Fast forward a week or 2. I am sent several emails from the equal opportunity office [not realizing the connection] to help them participate in a survey. Being the good student I am thinking im helping studies I show up and they dropped a sexual harrassment bomb. Chick reported me to a faculty member and included the incriminating text conversation though obviously only half of it, but it made me look like a sleazebag. I pointed it out "where is the rest of this conversation?" and they said it didnt matter if she was flirting with me too, "the minute 1 person gets offended its harrassment." The guy [one man one woman, lol] gave a story of a couple in a who had been dating for years and sleeping together and one day the woman snaps and reports him, sexual harassment the minute she is "uncomfortable." Blown away by how fucked up the university system is I just gave them what they wanted: I agreed, apologized, acknowledge that harassment is a bad thing and that was the end of it.

Funny part, a girl sent me nude pics to my student email, they asked if i got them and I denied [thank god i did could have been kicked out of school]. THey confronted the girl who said it was a virus LMAO and she was "offended it happened." Had I acknowledged that I received the email or even worse shared the pictures with other people I wouldve been fucked. I could however say I was "offended" that I received the pictures and gotten the girl in trouble lmao what a fucking joke.

Just one more reason to call instead of text.

Crazy shit. How did they know she sent you nude pics though?

Pretty soon we'll be reduced to Victorian-like letter writing when trying to get girls: Dear Madam, I would ever be so delighted to caress your bosom and explore your nether regions.

I don't see how one instance of being "uncomfortable" can constitute harassment even under their policies. Most work places emphasize that harassment needs to be a pattern, not just one occurrence.

I think in the military assualt is unwanted touching. Probably the same definition at the schools. The game is messed up real dirty.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

I remind whatever dumb bitch from the alumni office about this sort of insanity every time they call me to ask for money.

Scare tactics increase administrators make-work do-nothing budgets. They are fabricated numbers used to rationalize the existence of entire departments devoted to the study of bullshit.

I would call their bluff and threaten with legal action on this. No way will a university press the issue when they likely now it won't hold up to scrutiny.

Then again, I live in a country where the losing party of a civil/criminal suit/trial has to foot the bill for both parties.

So this means I need a lawyer until I graduate?

I'm fucked when I head back to college lol.

Nope.

The linked articles describe some creepy guys groping multiple women. Obviously this is a major security concern. You don't need to worry.

Your bigger risk is becoming a scapegoat for a politically correct prosecution. Be careful if you are accused, and be especially careful about admitting anything. Obviously it is not crime to receive a photo. But yeah, a virus could have sent texts, a roommate, who knows? Consider stonewalling, asking for legal counsel (paid by the university), holding all proceedings off-campus to avoid an intimidating environment, insisting that all communication to you be documented in writing so you can sue, etc. Hold them accountable.

There was a case a Penn where a (white Jewish male) student yelled "Shut up, water buffalo" at a loud, fat, African-American woman. He was charged with racial harrassment!

This happens every couple of years on every campus.

I think I remember twice, reports of increased assault on my small campus in waterloo. Nothing happens about it and most girls on campus don't even realize its going on.

I don't doubt it, Jane and Finch is right near the University so its not surprising girls were assaulted. If it was one girl I'd be suspicious but this guy looks creepy as fuck. I doubt 5 of them would come forward unless there was a legit reason to.

In any case, York U would probably suck as a place to meet women for the next few months with extra paranoia.

In military school, sexual assault training is mandatory. Cadets who do not complete it get in lots of trouble.

This stuff is everywhere but people are getting annoyed with it.

We'd be a lot safer if we warned of:

-Hooligan speaks to passerby before mugging them
-Bank robber talks to teller before robbing bank
-Rapist speaks to man/woman before sodomizing him/her
-Serial killer speaks to victim before murdering them

We were told not to speak to strangers as children right? May be we could all wear those things dogs have around their neck after having surgery, so we don't accidentally lock eyes with someone and possibly speak with them.

Its sad since YorkU has the best University talent in Toronto. Its far from DT but a lot of kats would make the journey up their to game. The worst part about this is the waste of resources to "fix" this "problem". Extra guards will be hired, new cameras, new staff to man 'helplines' that nobody ever calls, new advertising campaign to educate, new school events thus - more of your tuition $$$ being pumped into fixing a non-issue. You would think YorkU would have bigger issues such as it being almost impossible for students to get to class up there with the bus.

This can be added to this list of other useless University initiatives that get funding like"

Hidjabs against drunk drivers

Feminist porn talk

Sex toy sessions

White (AKA Knight) Ribbon campaigns

etc

Before schools used to build solar cars and compete with each other.

now they teach women about dildo's and how men need to emasculate themselves.

So looks like YorkU really wants to catch up with UofT on the level of feminism. Considering that the summer period is slow on news, that article might as well be rumour/gossip turned into news by some dried-pussy femcunt journalists. Nothing specific about the "assaults" or what the "attackers" looked like, just giving a general vibe of "you should be panicking".

Title might as well be "Guys desperately trying to get sex from frigid cunts on campus because normal people get horny in the summer".

Lol, I wonder how much of this is caused by one clique of girls signing up for a women's studies class together and then suddenly realizing how much "sexual assault" they're being victimized by every day...

Probably all of it. Higher ups are now questioning whether West Australian universities should even have taverns on campus. There is supposedly a horrible sex and binge drinking culture because of them. That's about 1/3 of my socialising time at uni gone if they disappear.. Dammit I hate society.

Shit even that would be too much. You said bosom.

Sad world we're living in when a non-sexual touch is considered harassment. or assault.

If a guy were to report the same, they'd probably laugh at him.
