You are contradicting yourself there. You want to open a bar/club/restaurant somewhere in the world but yet still want the freedom to travel? you can't hold down a brick and mortar business when you're not there to take care of things. Have a real plan first, you'll have better luck finding a business partner.

lol you have no idea what you're getting yoruself into. Restaurants and bars are a nightmare business! Put your money into a CD or money market and tie it up long enough for you to learn what the hell youre doing. Comments like yours make me think you have no business running a business. 1st dead giveaway: You are looking for a business partner/partners. No one who is experienced in starting/running a bar and who is in their right mind would partner with another person unless they were getting something for nothing, in that case you get fucked whether the business succeeds or fails.. Too many problems with business partnerships.

The best business partnerships are one where you own 30% or less of the business, you can literally walk away and still "make money" despite the fact that you do nothing and contribute nothing to the business. Your partner will have to buy you out which means a huge lump sum of cash in your pocket and you've done nothing. Thats why I always shit my pants when people dont take the 40% ownership offer in shows like "The Shark Tank." - 100% ownership in a negative income company or 40% ownership of millions? People are so stupid!

Truth is if its a lot of money that you came into, you might be better off having it "managed" by a "financial advisor." There are tons of investments that can pretty much secure 10% interest annually (and Im not talking about the stock market). At the end of the day you may find that you just arent cut out for business ownership.

The Company Man's guidie to starting a side hustle

Very insightful; hopefully it will change your approach to being an entrepreneur - try it out and see if you are cut out for it. Doesnt matter what you do, just try out the entrepreneur lifestyle and just dont throw your entire fortune into it.

Thanks for that link defguy. It was just what I needed, I'm on the verge of launching a microbusiness.
