Long-term this is a waste of time as you should actually adopt the ego-less player approach (fearless) and simply talk up every cute girl you see.

Anyway pretty long rant, but basically the jist is this:
1. Vet player - Height ain't shit
2. Intermediate - Use lifts to get out of ruts if you're in one
3. Beginner - Probably best to avoid unhealthy boosters like walking in lifts since you'll rely on it in the future and you will damage your self esteem.

I have no shame in saying that I lift it up when I haven't gotten laid in a few weeks. But that of course is slowly changing so I use them maybe 2-3 times a year. If i started from the get go with them... i'd probably fuck up my Achilles and rely on it.

I am right at 6 ft and when I walk into a venue am taller than about 80% of the guys. But I agree with you-it seems to be 6'1" and up that strongly attracts the women. 6'2" or 6'3" really gets them going. A minority of hot girls have a fetish for the very tall 6'5" + guys- I have seem some rather dorky looking and acting guys at this height who were with a hot girls seemingly mostly due to their height.

At my height I seem to simply" pass the test" so that my height is not a disqualifier for most girls. the only girls who seem to be turned on by my height are the really short ones-5'2" and below, because I do tower over them.

So I've been thinking seriously about experimenting with lifts and seeing if an extra inch or two of height would really make any difference to my success rate.

You're fine. I forgot to mention one of the other things not factored in here is your body language when wearing heel lifts, your chest is forced up wards and you can't over step anymore. This is no ifferent than being a good dancer. Good dancers take small steps, try to stand and take a large step with you heel, easily succeed, try it when you are standing on your toes... No shot.

Also analagous to a track runner, fast sprinters / distance runners run on their toes, they do not wear out the heels of their feet. So yeah don't worry about it just walk with a better gait.

Try bending your knees and bobbing up and down, now do it and allow your knees to lock. You'll seethe locking feeling is really what makes you "look foolish". So never stiffen up.

Ha I kinda hope you're serious I actually practice at work. I'll eventually throw up a winners guide to dance but here are a couple other things to avoid tread jacking and still kinda help tall dudes.

1. Body always moves before legs, step to your left without your body in a full length mirror. Now step to your left allowing your top half to move first. Notice number 2 is better.
2. Body waves. Ever wonder why it looks cool? Because its fluid. Tall guys have less room for error because your mistakes are pronounced.
3. Small steps. Tall dudes need to mentally take small ass steps like the length one of your big ass size 14 feet!
4. Rhythm. Harder again for tall guys because you have to slow your movements down even more, show me a "good dancer" who takes large rigid steps and I'll give you a gold coin.

Tall or short anyone can dance, just need to adjust how you dance to your height and partner. Finally, the shorter the girl is that you are dancing with the less moves you can do, the faster the song again the less moves you can do.

I laughed and went to talk to another group. I then spent the next few hours bouncing back and forth between the two groups.

I bounced both groups to a different bar. Ended up making out with a cute girl from the first group while the 5'5" dude made out with a cute 7 from the first group as well.

Got the number of my cute girl, follow up phone calls led to a date later this week. 5'5" decided not to pursue the cute 7, some righteous excuse or something. Good thing I got her number too, but Its not wise to game multiple girls from the same group right away, maybe ill back burner it.

SHortest dudes there pulled. The rest were along for the ride and were practially begging me to open girls they were interested in.

To answer Houston, this height thing is only a big thing in North America. I grew up in Europe and height didn't mean jackshyt. I knew a guy I used to work with, he couldn't have been over 5'7 and this guy had a sickening collection of lizards. He didn't give a royal fcuk. He opened up constantly (I saw him in action). He got shut down but he had plenty of tarts to work with.
So it is true what some cats say, America boils everything down to these stats. A guy is supposed to be 6'6, he is supposed to weigh 250 pounds, he is supposed to bench 425, he is supposed to have 9 inch dyck,

In Europe, I didn't notice much care for these stats. Dudes fcuked and some of the best playas were short, it didn't mean shyt. Since basketball is not heralded in Europe, some of the stars who got most of the lizards were the football players (soccer for North Americans) and most of these guys were under 6 feet.
Lizards never asked me if I could play basketball or if I played, they merely treated me the same as the 'short' guys.

So yes, height is just a North American thing.

I have always been tall but until I started thumping the weights, that's when I noticed lizards flocking to my side like I had some magic potion in my pockets.
So a cat with a defined frame, bulging arms, strong chest, strong back those are the cats that get the most results.

Yes I am very tall, but for a lot of my 20's I was too skinny. In the last few years I have been getting bigger, my physique now is probably the best it's ever been. I'm also treating women worse than I ever have, the result - getting laid more than ever - i'm still on an upward curve.

Recently I realized I prefer taller girls above 5'9", but prob not more than 6'1". I'm myself 6'3" so the tall girls could be a good niche since I would still be taller than them.

However, somewhere I heard that taller girls are on average more "manly" and less feminine, since tall height signifies higher levels of testosterone. I've never really worried too much about being shorter than the taller girls that I've dated, their problem hasn't been so much that they "need" a tall man to cuddle them or make them "feel safe" or whatever, but feel awkward wearing heels and looking down. I'd say that about half the girls that I've been involved with how admitted to having a problem with my being as tall or shorter than them, (few have actually expressed this concern) got over the problem pretty quickly when I told them how little I cared about it and actually saw my lack of concern when we were out together. Granted, I don't think any of these girls were making crazy comments on Twitter....

On a side note, a friend and I were out a few weeks ago, walking to the next bar. We admittedly, began playfully mocking some girls in front of us who were talking very loudly. The three turn around a couple of times, give the finger, turn back around and say "hey, all three of us are taller than you" as if that was some kind of comeback. The way I look(ed) at it, I would much rather some random girl make fun of my height than my face, other physical features, if, ya know, I cared at all what they thought.

The reference to sports here is important, I think. We can glean quite a bit about the differences in this dynamic from the athletics we prefer.

What are the top sports in the USA today?
Football is quite clearly first, followed by basketball and then baseball. The NFL is the king of TV ratings in the USA, followed by the NBA, MLB, NCAA (college) Football and NCAA Basketball. Culturally, these are the games that hold the most resonance/sway with Americans and whose players get the most respect.

NFL players are quite tall. The average height by position:

Runningback: 5'11"

Offensive Tackle: 6'5" 1/2

You can find all this info for NFL heights/weights broken down here-I've taken data from 2006 only, though the heights haven't changed much (Running Backs have gotten shorter in the past few decades, but are still pretty tall).

The bottomline is that NFL athletes, the most celebrated of all athletes in the USA today (they play the most watched and popular game) are pretty damn tall. Runningbacks average 5'11". Everyone else is at or above 6'0", and at the most visible position (quarterback), anything under 6'2" is considered short.

Analyzing Major League Baseball gives us more tall dudes.

Not a single MLB team has a roster averaging less than 6'0". Only two of the thirty teams are below 6'1".
You can find average height by position here. Second basemen are the shortest MLB players, and they're still firmly above average (5'11"). The average for all MLB players is 6'1'.

The NBA speaks for itself. You can find generalized breakdowns of NBA player height and weight here. In 2007-08, the average player was 6'6.98" tall (6'7", essentially) and 221lbs.
A breakdown by position is here. The shortest guys in the league are point guards, and they still average 6'2".

Conclusion: Americans love tall athletes. All of their most watched and favored sports involve guys who, by and large, are usually over 6'0" (on average).

Now, let's look at Europe, with a focus on Football (Soccer), far and away (it really isn't close, is it?) the most popular game on that continent.

The average height of a footballer in Europe is 5'11" 1/2 (181.96cm). This is already well below the NFL average for all but two positions (Defensive Backs and Runningbacks), a couple of inches below the MLB and far below the NBA.

One of the most dominant teams in Europe (Barcelona) boasts an average height of just 5'9" 1/2 (177cm). We also know that many of the dominant players simply aren't very tall (ex: Messi = 5'6", Wayne Rooney = 5'9", Xavi = 5'7", Iniesta = 5'7", Ashley Cole = 5'9.5"), and few European players are as bulky as NBA, MLB and especially NFL athletes (ex: average NFL LB = 6'1 240. Nobody in european football with that type of bulk). The athletic ideal in Europe (a Beckham, Ronaldo, Messi, Rooney, Cole, etc) is not as tall and not as muscular as the ideal in the USA (a Joe Mauer, Tom Brady, Mike Vick, Kobe Bryant, Adrian Peterson, LeBron James, Calvin Johnson, etc)

Is it a coincidence, then, that the American preference for masculinity is taller and bulkier than that of the average European?

I wouldn't recommend to this sort of thing often, but at times it may be appropriate. Chicks who are 5'10 and over can be made to feel pretty self-conscious about their height. Remember that she probably grew up feeling incredibly awkward and out of place. If a tall chick is trying to give you shit about your height, it's pretty easy to cut her down to size rather quickly.

Also I would note that Americans are extremely obsessed with sport, starting in high school, then college, then the major leagues, athletes are on the very top of the food chain. Not as much in Europe; the school leagues, although present, are not as important, and doesn't buy that automatic super high status (the major league will though).
This may vary by country since EU is very heterogeneous, but on average athletes of all levels are way more worshiped in USA.
