New York's diverse culture in an American setting is its culture, if anything the fact that people can visit neighborhoods with different feelings is a selling point of New York.

I also usually travel solo, the upside is that it does make me much more flexible and successful, but the downside is that it sometimes a bit depressing to be alone and feel like your'e on a mission, and in poorer countries can feel less safe as well. I'm thinking about going to Ukraine and Balkans, not sure if I should be looking for someone to join me or not. WARNING: Zombie thread I hope I can help update, as I just got back from a week there.

The main changes is visibly increased numbers of third-world origin people, especially sub-saharan Blacks; more visible gays, both men and women (including public cross-dressing); a significant percentage of hipsters. The crime and terrorism risk is still almost nil; hordes of Korean/Chinese tourists. The place looks like America a few years ago and is progressively being more "pozzed". It is not cheap but not horribly expensive; quality of restaurants and culture is better than the US. My past trips to non-Western countries make Finland stick out as having significant deterioration.

Despite these signs of degeneracy, the overall country is in much better cultural and demographic state than the US; still sufficient numbers of the "doll face" yellow haired types that Roosh wrote about in his Latvia book. Having done Helsinki and failed I WANT to believe this report but can't quite say I do .

From personal experience I found it very easy to talk to the girls but hard to get the ONS.

I have never been to this area - I can't comment on it.

Regarding other people, I think its either go with a big group of your mates or at most 2 people. The more people you have, the more you have to coordinate. Go with what makes you feel comfortable. If you are feeling alone and worried about safety, then you won't be able to enjoy the city you are visiting.

What the posters doubting you need to remember is one mans '8' is another mans '6' - its entirely subjective. I think you're being overly harsh on him here, and are wrong about Helsinki being hard to score in - Helsinki is notoriously easy to get laid in. I had that experience there, and so have a few of my friends in real life. Lots of posters here also.
