Street Marketing Question

A business partner of mine is going to start hitting the streets going to local business to pitch the idea of a business venture we are pursuing. Essentially we are a middle man that links buyers with suppliers for a small transaction fee and a monthly subscription fee for the suppliers. As an incentive we will be offering a free 6 month subscription.

While we are primarily going for face-to-face encounters, we have decided it might be beneficial to drop off a flyer as well.

My question is what concept should I use for these flyers? They would be targeting specific interested companies and handed out during a face to face conversation. Should I go with a quick simple eye catching template that doesn't explain much about the idea, or should I go with more of a "Info Sheet" type template listing the supporting statistics and features that would be implemented?

If I was you I'd go for the latter. No business will be able to take you seriously by just giving only a glimpse of what the idea is. By ironing out the details and features they can get, the more receptive they'll be to your idea.

How do ya make flyers man? I always wanted to know how to make some in the event that I want to promote parties.

Nope.

Street Marketing Question

I just googled flyer templates. most look like they are for bands/raves/clubs or something like that. I will probably go with a simple design I can throw together using Word.

I agree with you on the "info sheet" type design. These flyers would be handed out to businesses that had a positive reaction to our sales pitch, so I figured they would already be informed on the details and features...but I guess it doesn't hurt for them to have something that recaps the discussion, especially if they are need to consult other partners.

as actually printing them, i just check the first website that popped up for "flyer printing services" and it was a short and curly over $100 for ten thousand Shiny UV gloss flyers, so it would be pretty cheap for you to advertise parties.
