PrimaDonna Girl....Teaching feminine former USSR girls to be Entitled

Im over in a former USSR country right now and the biggest song is driving me nuts. Its sung by an entitled chick rationalizing being entitled, in full detail. The problem is these cute feminine yielding chicks are blasting this song 24/7, it cant help but subliminally get in their heads and have them think its ok to be Entitled.

Its called 'Prima Donna Girl' by Marina and the Diamonds. I'll link the video and some key lyrics.

Unfortunately the chick sounds like Katy Perry so I can promise it will keep making its way west to the UK and America (if it hasnt already). Prepare yourself to hear this in clubs and on the radio all the time, as its the #1 song over here.

Key (terrible) lyrics:

All I ever wanted was to be adored. All I ever wanted was the world. I cant help that I need it all.

*You say that Im kinda difficult, but its always someone else's fault.*
Got you wrapped around my finger babe, you can count on me to misbehave.

Would you do anything for me? Buy a big diamond ring for me? Would you get down on your knees for me? Pop that question for me.

I know I've got a big Ego, I really dont know why its such a big deal though. *When you give I want more.*

I Get what I want because I ask for it, not because im really that deserving of it.

Terrible. The worst part is this song proves they know they're doing us wrong, she just detailed it, and she has the need to rationalize it on a song.

Its scary how the girls here all sing it. They dont really know english so its cool, but for the ones that do, this has to be subliminally making the good girls feel its appropriate to be entitled.

Just preparing everyone for what is slowly going to make its way West to the Fellas back home.

On the way to the club, heard this song in the taxi. My cab full of girls was all singing the song, and I questioned why I was getting mad and starting to get a headache.

At the club, heard it multiple times. It is catchy, I cant even hate, but deep in my brain I could feel somethign was wrong with this song.

Heard it again on the way home but fell asleep before I could do some research.

Just heard it on VH1 this morning, checked the lyrics, and realized why I got a headache everytime I heard it. You know your red pill when even subliminal messages through a song set off your spidey senses.

Yes I think this group is welsh, terrible.

You are constantly subjected to this shite while in FSU unfortunately. I think I have been mentally scarred from having to listen to Pitbull in Ukraine

So I wonder, what are you gonna do when you hear this song play at a club?

I'm just gonna yell NO at the top of my lungs as soon as it comes on.

Nope.

Well I would like to do this in Ukraine, but then the girls would think i'm mentally ill and I would get no flange.

Another reason why Polish girls are cooler than Ukrainian girls, they have a better taste in music

Music is incredibly important.

Its one of the main ways to indoctrinate people and destroy values - the beats and lyrics go straight to the subconscious and affect behavior.

Its one of the main tools for social engineering after TV and movies.

No doubt the powers that be are working furiously to indoctrinate the Russian and Eastern European populace - especially since Putin - as former KGB- wont allow them a frontal attack.

Didn't he inprison a girl band recently - I think their name was PUSSY - no doubt some US intelligence/ NGO inspired psuedo feminist girl band

lol at people being scared of 'subliminals' going straight into your 'subconscious.'

It doesn't really work like that, the brain is a lot more complex.

Madonna did this in the 80s with "Material Girl," extolling the virtues of materialism and getting whatever you can from men. In an interview (in Penthouse I think), she admitted that she slept with any guy that was in a position to further her career. In certain circles her nickname was "McDonna's" because she served over a million...HA HA!

"The best kind of pride is that which compels a man to do his best when no one is watching."

Read "Thinking Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman. Some fascinating studies of the brain being affected by external cues; in one case, subjects were asked to assemble four-word sentences out of five words, but that wasn't the study.

The study was this: for half the group, the five words included words with correlations of age: "wrinkled", "creaky", etc. The metric was how fast the subjects walked down the hall after the "test" was over. There was a very measureable correlation: the subjects who had been exposed to the "older" words moved more slowly down the hall.

LOTS of examples like this. People exposed to imagery of money were less likely to help when a test operator "accidentally" knocked over a tray of pencils. Judges with up to 15 years experience gave greater probation times to a simulated criminal just because they rolled a higher number on loaded dice beforehand. The list went on and on.

The brain is a LOT more subject to "subliminal" external cues than any of us really want to admit. In many cases there were measureable effects even when the subjects were told exactly what was going on.

Not to derail the thread, I've read a lot more than one book on the subject.

There are a lot of differences between clinical experiments with imagery used in a particular environment with particular subjects, and the idea expressed in the post above mine; that 'the powers that be' 'use' 'beats' to 'subliminally project' a particular attitude into people in a casual setting.

Yes, the brain stores information at a less-than-conscious level, fair enough. But 'powers that be' are using a shitty popsong as a form of weapon on foreign girls who don't even understand the words so that Vladimir Putin won't suspect that whoever those 'powers' are are trying to brainwash his subjects? Er...

Popular culture only enforces opinions over time via classical conditioning and the like, not subliminal messages (to any great extent.) Otherwise Coca-Cola would have to spend a lot less on marketing than it does. How the process works isn't shady CIA stuff, it's widely known.

Well, as have I (and run some of my own ad hoc experiments on students). I think we were mostly differing on terminology, since...

Yes, that's pretty over-the-top. But seeing the remarkable effectiveness of low-level cues (from portion size to scent wafted through hotels to sound, etc) in a plethora of settings (restaurants, retail, clothing, online...) has made me very wary of any commercially-designed environment and/or media.

If you think that the cream of the crop girls in FSU never have big egos you are trippin.
