Hey, thanks man. I'm guessing you just want a basic template when applying, is that right? Just something straight to the point and easy on the eyes.

Here you go. Works for all professions except phd guys who need a long list of credentials. If you are out of college move education down to the bottom.

I would also suggest constructing 1) a base resume, then 2) specific components you can plug in targeted to specific targets, mirroring the language they use in the job posting. Basically this does three things- 1)it tells them what they want to hear (most important), 2) demonstrates you understand their problems, and 3) can get you past a computer system that screens out resumes that don't match.

I've been on both sides of this equation- you should remember that you're applying to solve specific problems for them. If you figure out their problem and can show it on your resume, you win.

When you land your interview, report back, and I'll break down how to run interview game on these smug, self-important b@stards.
