I'm going on a cruise for the first time during the December holidays.

I'm expecting lots of Boomers and honeymooners... not many pick-up opportunities, but I could be wrong.

I've been on a few cruises. It can be hit or miss. On a cruise ship of 1500 people, you can expect there to be only about 20 to 30 girls that are potential targets. Out of those, its hit or miss if any will be hot. I've been on cruises where there were no hot girls, and maybe a few OK ones.

2 tips:
- call ahead of time and ask to be seated with young single people at the nightly dinners.
- talk to hot girls immediately. As soon as you step on the boat. Just a quick hello, a few interesting words, get her name, and move on. you now have an "in" with her, and can re-open her anytime during the cruise. You're ahead of the other guys.

I went on an Alaska cruise with my grandparents once. With exception of the crew, I was the youngest passenger on there. Then my grandma, then my grandpa.

I think my grandfather was complaining about all the old people on there.

The ship was nice, though.

The worst other things about cruises:

The food sucks.

Your trapped.

You spend time in ports. And get harassed and see poverty constantly.

You are on a schedule.

Lets say you actually do meet the girl of your dreams on one of your stops. You have to be back at the boat in 15 min before it leaves.

If I was ever forced on a cruise again, it would be Mutiny on the Bounty.

I think it depends on the caliber and cost of the cruise. A friend of mine went on one of those cheapo Carnival cruises (~$300 for 5 days or something) and he ended up with quite a few notches. Another friend went on a really expensive cruise with his girlfriend's family to the British Isles and he said it was all old people. I could imagine a cheap cruise, at the right time (i.e. school holiday), being spring break on a boat.

I doubt there's any single passenger chicks.

The girls that work on those things gotta be lonely sluts and probably make less than minimum wage. I bet the vacationers and the management treat them like shit so just be nice.

Their quarters on those things gotta be shitty and they'd most likely bang you just to sleep in a regular bed.

I think I saw some bangable maids when I was on the Alaska thing, but my game was frozen.
