Afternoon gents.
I traveled to the Slovak Republic on business for 10 days and had a pretty good time.
Price 5/5
I was immeadiately impressed by how inexpensive everything was. Dinner for 4 with ample beer, wine, appertizers, etc came out to roughly 30 Euro. We had to go over the receipt a few times to make sure we were charged for everything. Bottle service in the club was like 50 Euro, and girls were impressed that we weren't downstairs with "the poor people". Definitely a place where you can make your money stretch. Didn't encounter any scamming of any sort. I also stayed at the best hotel in town (Hotel Polana in Zvolen) which ran about 40 Euro a night.
Food 5/5
I don't know if I just have the gift of picking out amazing restaurants or if every spot we went to was just that good but man...I ate like a king for 10 days. Their diet is really meat heavy, lots of potatoes but everything is cooked to perfection. Even the gyro stand was awesome.
Women 3.5/5
Not quite my particular style and taste, I'd say pretty average with an extra point for level of approachability. Pretty faces but very slim. There were some where my friends and I looked in disbelief at how thin they were. Slovak women look like the women in Prague and Budapest to me. I didn't notice any huge differences. They're very approachable and even turn you down in a friendly way (no chance of hooking up but still wanted to be FB friends?). I had a couple ready to go back to my hotel room from this club called "Ministry of Fun" but we were completely wasted and there were 7 of us convoying together. Definitely not the most inviting scenario. With the right number of wingman and better planned movement I'd say one could clean up rather well. Some of the guys made it to Bratislava (about two hours west) and said the girls were much less receptive in the capital and more P4P action going on which further co-signs Roosh's policy about 2nd tier cities being gold mines.
Sights: 1.5/5
Zvolen & Banksa Bystrica are in the middle of Slovakia. Bratislava to the west. Polish border to the north, Budapest to the south, etc. In the town themselves, there's not much to see. I'm infatuated with the USSR so seeing the old Soviet architecture and just walking around a place that I wouldn't have been able to 20 years ago was pretty cool. Other than that, not much to see. Zvolen does have some decent baby sized mountains that provided some decent scenery.
Race Relations: 5/5
Being a black American, I know some of the other guys are curious about how we're interacted with in different places. Fortunately there was nothing to note here. A lot of double and triple takes, staring and smiling but nothing bad. Women and men were friendly and after a few moments went on about their way. I had the distinct honor of being the only Black guy in the club which was an experience. Some women bee lined towards me to talk. Others glanced and kept it moving. Again, nothing worth noting. One of my wingmen is of Korean descent and was invisible in the club on the other hand. We tag approached groups of girls just for the novelty of a Black/Asian wing and most of the women acted like he wasn't standing there. A big shoutout to the guys in the Ministry of Fun club. I've never met such friendly people, introducing me to all of their women friends, inviting me to dance with their gf's, etc. Very cool of them and it leaves you no choice but to respect them and their country.
I'm in Germany until 2015 and try to travel somewhere new every weekend so I'll be posting more datasheets in the future.
Happy hunting.
