This was a interview with a former FBI agent on reading body language, and he gave a few tips on how to make changes to yours. I realize this has been done, but during the presentation he brings up something he referred to as "steepling" or gravity defying behavior. An example he gave was to make a steeple with your fingers, and thumb. This is something people have done intuitively to boost confidence.

Read his book recommended by Mixx. Its been mentioned around the forum quite a few times, great read but a little hard to remember specific details regarding some body parts and its types of displays.

There is another guy by the name Paul Eckman out there too. He writes a lot about micro expressions.

Fascinating stuff. Any idea how not to become a sociopath with all of it?

There was a tv show with this premise that got canned called Lie to Me. It was okay while it lasted. It's pretty amazing what you can tell with simple observation on how a man carries himself, what his girl is thinking, etc. Fun to point out to girls which relationships aren't going to last in games of MFK.
I guess I didn't really explain what I was trying to say, but I've had some disassociative experiences at work that I must just not have the stones for yet, or I would call them out or simply take note and move on. My point was that it's easy to get wrapped up in overanalyzing it all once you begin to notice people's true reactions to you or their coworkers. I tried to rep the OP for showing me some new stuff but I guess we're not doing that anymore.

There's a difference between coldly finding a use for people, and letting them handle their own business while seeing what they agree to, yet actively or inactively rooting for them. Mind and heart. Sure, there's arguably merit to each, but there seems to be some psychological form of karmic justice, where your pattern of behavior catches up to you to as if to say "re-examine your life, you aren't happy."
Sorry to be so vague but that's my experience.

All of that being said, most people think they're a good person, yet there's always a dichotomy between altruism and selfishness. Perhaps I'm suggesting that bitterness towards the broken shape of men and women (thanks feminism and modern capitalism) may lead to a natural distance between them and us, which would make them easier to use. It's hard to be benevolent and still get what you want, but maybe it's actually infinitely easier once you can let go.

Maybe? Not everyone is meant for having kids and I'm mindful of the fact that this is a player forum, so I'm not trying to white knight it up in here. I was talking about my own experience with manipulating people.
Edit: This thread is getting sidetracked. I wouldn't marry a girl unless she was something like the one that wrote this gem:

This document actually deserves its own thread, ill see about making one later. Maybe we can get back to discussing body language?
