Pacquiao vs. Bradley...SATURDAY JUNE 9, 2012

Manny Pacquiao looks to regain his air of invincibility when he and unbeaten Timothy Bradley go toe-to-toe in a welterweight bout on Saturday night.

Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KO) looked vulnerable last November when he beat Juan Manuel Marquez in a majority decision. It was his fourth straight fight that went the distance. Bradley (28-0, 12 KO) has a chance to establish himself as the next great American fighter, but the 28-year-old is making a major jump up in competition. He hasn’t faced anyone with the combination of speed and pure power that Pacquiao brings. Bradley is a gutsy, skilled fighter who should be able to last 12 rounds, but it’s hard to imagine him out-boxing Pacquiao.

Pacquaio’s camp has compared Bradley to Ricky Hatton, whom Pacquiao knocked out in the second round three years ago. But while Bradley can be overaggressive at times, he’s shown the ability to be patient and, if needed, nasty in the ring. One potential complication for Pacquiao is that Bradley leads with his head early and often, something Pacquiao does at times. There could be a lot of head butts in what could become a choppy, ugly fight.

But even if you believe Pacquaio is fading (despite his 15 straight wins and 28-1-2 record in his past 31 fights), he’s still far more talented than Bradley. The challenger can’t come close to Pacquaio’s speed or power. He has gone up against fighters like Bradley in the past, but Bradley (just 1 KO in past 10 fights) has never seen anything like Pacquaio.

Bradley’s only real hope is that Pacquaio, who is bordering on the twilight of a long career, simply doesn’t take him seriously. Pacquiao is only 33 but this will be his 60th fight, and he has aspirations outside of the ring. This is Bradley’s big chance to ascend to the elite class of fighters, and there’s no guarantee that another opportunity like this will ever come around. He’ll look to survive and counter-punch, and hope he can catch Pacquiao off-guard.

Pacquiao vs. Bradley...SATURDAY JUNE 9, 2012

I think Pacquiao will probably win, but I got to say that from watching 24/7 on HBO, Bradley looks like a beast. Dude is as ripped as a guy can be, he looked like he had an 8-pack. Not that physique means that much, but with his physical strength and considering he's younger and more focused then Pac-man, I think it maybe a close fight.

Really G-Manifesto is the guy that will have the best insights into this fight. It's too bad Amir Khan didn't fight Bradley, I think that would have been a good fight.

Oh yeah, since this is a game forum, I figure I'll bring it up... Did anyone watch 24/7 and see Bradley's wife, not to be mean, but he married a chubby Mexican woman that already had 2 kids, I'd say she's a 6 or 7 max. For a guy who's a champion athlete, ripped to shreds, and now most likely a millionaire, it kind of makes you wonder. He probably never did well with women before, and just ended up settling once he got some consistent poonanie.

LMAO...I said the same thing about the wife; a fat Mexican broad with 2 bastard children. You're being very generous with that 6 or 7 I say a 5 on her best day and with the 2 bastard children a 4. You have to remember those boxers are small dudes 5'6" 145 lbs that may factor into him having trouble with the ladies.

I got Pacquiao by decision; Bradley's lack of power is going to be the deciding factor.

Yeah I'm definitely being generous with that 6 or 7, I'd say she's basically a 5 not factoring in the kids, maybe a 6 if you have a Latina BBW fetish.

1. I want to see Mayweather put a beat down on Pacroid.
2. I'm thinking the distance, or Pac winning by stoppage somewhere around round 10.
3. Bradley gets top shelf pussy whenever he wants, he decided he wanted kids though, so he picks a woman of proven fertility who will never have a better option or give him any shit. She adds no stress to his life. Smart guy.

Pac's camp is just talking nonsense. Hatton was ALL hype. He was a beast against 140 pounders in England, but when he moved across the pond and moved up in both class and weight, he was still a weak 140 pounder. Pac knocked him out with one shot not so much because he has one-punch power, but because Hatton wasn't shit and couldn't take a real shot on the button. Remember, Floyd dropped him with that "check hook" also, and Floyd isn't a one-punch guy either. Bradley is a real beast, though not really possessing one-punch power either. He's a trench guy, and Pac still is at heart, though Freddie has him on his toes and changing angles. I like Pac's style for Bradley, because though Pac darts in and out, he generally stays in the pocket. Pac probably has the hand speed advantage, so I'll give him the slight nod, but he's still very hittable, and I think Bradley is going to touch him plenty. Pac by split decision.

You have to give Hatton a little more credit than that.

He put Kostya Tszyu into retirement.

That alone erases any "all hype" calls on the guy.

He lost to Pac and May.

The two best fighters on the planet.

No shame there.

He is simply a level below those guys.

As is the rest of the world.

Pacquiao should win, all he's got to do is his Bradley when Bradley comes in head first and use lateral movement to create angles on Bradley. I think Manny should stop Bradley, he's the better all around fighter and I don't think Bradley offers anything that could trouble Pacquiao enough for Bradley to spring the upset. But in boxing, you just never know.

fuck this fight

We'll probably never see the fight everyone wants to see until they are both out of their prime.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Boxing as a mainstream sport is dead and turning into a niche sport. The crazy thing is it has nothing to do with MMA. Boxers and promoters killed it with greed and poor management.

Also, I don't want this to sound like a knock on boxing as a sport. I love boxing, both amateur and pro. Boxing's demise to me is like watching a good friend slip away because of drug addiction.

I don't think that is Monica Bradley, but yeah, she is a pig. And she had one or two kids from a previous marriage when he married her! Talk about Capt. Save-a-ho! Now they have a few kids of their own. Plus, she is now his "manager". That means two things: One, his career will go down the toilet - WTF does she know about negotiating, about licensing deals, about keeping his tax situation straight? They just wanted to save the 15% or so he paid to his real manager, so they fired him and hired the wife. What a joke. How many guys on this board would let their wives, mothers or girlfriends run their career?? And the second thing it means is that, when she leaves him, she'll get a HUGE share of his assets because, you know, she was "responsible" for his success. You know what he'll walk away with? The brain damage he incurred from all those concussions against Provodnikov. Same thing happened to Shane Mosely.

Weak game, indeed. I like Bradley, and I like watching him fight. But he could be having a MUCH nicer life with FAR, FAR thinner women!

Watched it live PPV last night. Was rooting for Pacman big time. Glad to see him still in solid form. Especially with all that horseshit clowning around that Bradley was doing. Does he think he's Anderson Silva? I know he was probably trying to psyche Pac out but that's really poor sportsmanship and it cost him in the end. Bradley was hitting harder but you can't beat Pac's speed.
