UK Citiziens bound by US law - kid extradited for posting TV shows

The UK's secretary is not protecting her people and just allowed a kid posting YouTube videos of TV shows on his website to be sent to trail.
Ouch! This sounds horrible. I like the comparison at the end of the article.

The scary part in this is how far the tentacles of the biggest terrorist state in the world are reaching. As Simon Black constantly writes, these are the last signs of a dying country....One more reminder to get a 2nd passport in a country that has no extradiction treaties with Big Brother Murka...

To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes

The shitty part is there are not too many countries I would want to live in that have no extradition with the US. Vietnam is probably the one I would choose. I could live there based on what I have heard/read about it. Like living in a less developed Bangkok.

Not sure if it is accurate, but here is the list I found: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Which_countrie...ted_States

Brazil has an extradition treaty with the U.S. However, that treaty is effectively limited to non-Brazilians in the country, since Brazil's constitution forbids a Brazilian citizen from being extradited to another country.

If a US citizen also manages to get citizenship in Brazil, I wonder if they could be extradited?

I'm more and more convinced that the best thing any sane person can do to escape this police state and fucked up legal system is to renounce their US citizenship once you've obtained a citizenship with a similar clout but without all the long ass list of negatives that come with it. Ideal is a EU passport, followed by a Singapore/HK passport. Brasilian would also be a great option. With a Brasilian passport and no US ties such as a US citizenship, you can remain in Brasil while giving the big middle finger to Greedy and fucked up Uncle Sam. [Image: kermit.gif]
