DATA SHEET: Timisoara, Romania

Here's my very first Data-sheet, will be updated with any new info

Timisoara is at the northwest of Romania and has a population of 300-400,000 people.

COST:
I am starting with cost, since this might be the most important for many people. Life is VERY inexpensive in timi. YOu can have a full lunch (2 plates of food) in an organic vegetarian restaurant for around 4-6$ US
Taxi within the city is usually 2-4$
Coffee is 3$
High-end club entrance is 4$
Club drink(Vodka & Red Bull or Vodka-Cranberry) is 4$
Lodging depends HEAVILY on where you stay - i got a very classy and thus expensive loft which was for 600$ for a month - a friend got a smaller one  200m from where i lived for 370$ for a month

Romanian WOMEN
----------------------------------
During Daytime, on the average, I was NOT impressed with the talent. Every now and then i would see a pretty girl, but mostly they were HB4-6. However, this changes rapidly once you go to the top clubs ,  which are filled with 8-10s. But from day-gaming the city center, not-impressed... Maybe it is better around the student campus. Keep in mind that I am quite strict with my judgements - i avoid anything below HB7.5s. So, it is quite probable that many women would be "bangable" but just not really good.
The most important thing to note is that Romanian women seem very "serious" and "strict" when walking and talking. They do not smile, even to each other and their friends most of the time. Many might get discouraged because of that...
HOWEVER, after using ANY elderly opener to open them - i've had LITERALLY 100% success in getting a conversation that lasted for many minutes, always switching subjects continuing the interaction. So, once you get past the initial "frightening" stage that
1) they do not give eye-contact and
2) they do not smile - then everything works very well.
In comparison to Greek women - i would say i definitely prefer the Romanian attitude. Seriously, EVERY girl i approached was DTT (down-to-Talk :-) )
However, keep in mind that due to my job, i've been performing publicly, coaching groups and doing public speaking for decades, so I have zero stress and fear when I am in-set (still have a shitload of AA though...), plus i can control the interaction - so your mileage may vary in keeping the set engaged. In any case - indirect elderly openers are definitely the way to go.
Around 90% of  opened sets IMMEDIATELY took my first big-bait ("where i come form, we usually blah-blah") - they ALL asked me where i come from and  what i am doing in Timi...

DAYGAME & Field-Tested OPENERS:
Standard daygame openers (indirect) work very well. Let me repeat - 100% open & ramble  rate:
* "Can you take a picture of me, please"?
* "Where can i find a quiet coffeehouse to read etc"
(I then start to Ramble about different kinds of coffehouses - where i come from coffee is... - etc )
* "Where can i find Romanian food"?
(and Ramble on about "important to try the local flavours - when i was in Cuba , blah-blah" and request more info on places the locals go.)
Actually timebridged 3 times by using that - they told me where they prefer to go and we arranged to go together with their frieends :-) VERY easy.

DAYGAME Locations:

Uniiri square - filled with people until late in the night. This is the meeting place for everyone  in the city. Very easy to approach and ask any info or ask to take your picture.
Opera square - Same as above
Parks - there are some great parks in Timisoara, very easy to approach
Mall - The Ioulius mall (probably mis-spelled that...) is just like a typical medium-sized US shopping mall.

CONS:
** The following info might be wrong/incomplete - use at your own peril**
I tried to go to high-end clubs and lounge bars etc. There is a VERY strong status element there - yes the girls were 8.5-10s but they were the girlfriends of mobsters , millionaires, celebrity Djs etc. Feel free to call me "chicken", but personally, in that environment, i was very hesitant to "push" the interaction, unless the girl gave me SUPER-IOIs (since i did not want to step on the toes of the local mafia). The girls did not usually give me SUPER-IOIs - especially in a super-high-end-club. Well - a couple of them did (solid 7s) but I am already banging 7-8s in my country , so no reason to do that (for me at least). I actually keep a set of pics in my iphone of the last 5 girls i had sex with, so that i look at them daily and make sure that I will not lower my standards for ANY reason.

BARS:
The Bars i found only have seated arrangements. Seems to be very similar to what Roosh describes as the situation in Colombia. Almost no bars with people talking  around the bar/bartender as in the US and many other places. For me, it makes those places an almost deal-breaker - you have to wait for the girl to get up and go order a drink to initiate contact. Again, and that is a personal thing, i usually do not approach seated sets. If you do, your mileage may vary.
Keep in mind, since i was mostly goign to high-end clubs, i did not check ut the bars that much - it is quite possible that there might be some "hidden jems" in the city that i did not uncover

LANGUAGE: All in all , around 50-60% of people speak english. Taxi drivers do NOT speak English , but they tend to say they do, then good luck communicating with them. Young educated women tend to speak on an intermediate level. Do not worry about your verbal game with young women, do worry about communicating with the average people you will see in the city. For example, i would go to get a sandwich and out of 6 employees, MAYBE 1 would be able to tell me what is in it...

TAXI & TRANSPORTATION
Taxi drivers  DO NOT speak English. I use my iphone to keep pics of the Names and Street addresses i wanted to go to and then show it to the driver. Taxi is extremely inexpensive, so i did not use any public transport all the days I spent there. VERY IMPORTANT: DO NOT get a cab that does not have the rate posted at the door!!!! If you do, this is most likely  PRIVATE TAXI that costs 5-10 times more...fooled me once :-(

LODGING:
Great place to stay is Uniiri square - it is right in the middle of all the action. My appartment was ON the square, literally surrounded by 10s of little cafes and bars. And of course, whenever the weather was good - the square was filled with people , making it  a great place for Daygame - best situational opener: ask her to take a picture of you with the statue or the church in the background

COFFEE
Carturesti - Custom Tea shop -
Starbucks at Mall
10s of little cafes at Uniiri square

CLUBS
Heaven - for Thursday - Saturday
Fratelli - Friday-Saturday
Le Cinema - Friday - Saturday
Eve's Fashion lounge - Thursday - Saturday
(great little place from 10-01.00 , this is where the "warmup happens", consistently filled with 9s and 10s)

Food:
Casa Bunicii- well known, great for dates
Casa Cu Flores - well known, great for dates
BIOFresh- VERY inexpensive vegetarian organic
Club 21 -
Camelot - Romanian traditional meat based

PUBS
D'Arc
Irish pub
Skartz

KARAOKE
San Marzaro - at the julius Mall
San Marzaro - at  student complex - san marzano

OTHER Daytime Hangouts
-----------------------
D'Arc  on the river - great lemonade!

DAYGAME Locations
Uniiiri square
Opera Square
Parcs & streets
Julius mall

Hope this helps :-)

Nice report Noeman

I was there last summer but only for one night. Went to Heaven Club, got absolutely trashed, ended up wandering in the car park outside talking to stray dogs. Like you said there is a lot of quality, but the girls were pretty snooty. Next time I go I would like to find the more hip places, where the girls are having a good time rather than posing so much.

Best thing about Heaven was the pool on the roof [Image: smile.gif], spent the next day sunbathing and ogling topless women

Will probably visit again soon as it's only an hour and a half drive from Belgrade.

How long were you there for?

Great data sheet Noeman! Romania is really growing on me and I already put it in my list to do in the near future.
You mentionned that about 50-60% of them speak English, did you notice if they speak any other languages such as French, Italian or Spanish? Romanian is quite close to Italian and a Romanian guy I know said that with Italian, I'd be able to understand and communicate at about 70-80% of them. I also noticed from interacting with Romanians overseas that they also like to speak French and quite a few do. Did you notice many if any in Timi that speak it or are they more located in Bucharest?

Thanks man.

Nice city, I was there few years back and met there an amazing local girl, we even met a year later in US when she came with work visa but I was not serious at that time, later she got married and lives now in Florida.
I mostly spent the time there with her, but I do remember there is an area which all the students go out there, younger and more educated crowd, good English, I would prefer it than the premium "mob" clubs"

Have not noticed that , to tell you the truth. But it is true that by knowing English and French i can understand around 10-15% of what is being said. HAve not met any Italians during my stay in Timi, though.
