I was a couple of times for very short visits there and it makes me wanna spend more time in one of the major cities.

Beijing is clean, relatively cheap and have tones of attractive girls, not sure about scoring chances there.
Lifestyle seems also quite good.

Would be happy to hear comments from someone who lived there for a while.

We took our father to Macau almost 2 years ago today.

Unless you like gambling, Macau sucks. Its a little island so you can't move around much.

I think the casinos were set up so as to keep the fancy high rollers completely separated from the common folks. I thought I would see a bunch of Asian rich guys playing baccarat.

In some cities in China you can get a 5-star lobster dinner for $5. Not in Macau.

It's extremely crowded, and stinks everywhere. Lots of people were wearing surgeon masks to avoid disease. They let people wear the masks while they were gambling. I thought that would be a great way to help the cheaters.

We stayed at the Sands Hotel. Their building standards must be different over there. In order to get to your room you had to wait for one of very few elevators. There were seriously times when it was over 1/2 hour. Maybe that's a trick to keep folks in the casino, but come on.

Go to Hong Kong. That is a crazy city.

I read some good things about Hong Kong. Supposed to be a good nightlife with hot chicks, if you like the yellow ones. Hong Kong is the economic center of china and girls are attracted to westerners. From what I gathered, it is like a big status symbol to have an american boyfriend so you should do fairy well there. I would go in a heartbeat if I could.

Hong Kong is the best.

The greatest part about it is people that live there don't all have kitchens in their houses. It's crowded.

Everyone's out at restaurants for dinner every night. The family doesn't sit around the table at home, they go out. There are so many good restaurants all over the place in that city.

Plus they light up the buildings all crazy along the water.

It's a big help if you speak the language, but you still find a lot of english speakers there.

Dude, people tend to become a little darker the more south you go, likewise west. Its all personal preference though. I like the Vietnamese and Thai women a lot, but Asian women in general Im not too keen on.

Where I live right now, there are a ton of Asians everywhere. I agree with you on Chinese girls. I typically don't find myself getting aroused by them. The girls can be very pretty, but just not hot. The hottest Asian girls I've seen have been Japanese girls (not the Americanized ones though) and Korean girls.

I just settled into Guangdong (Shenzhen/Guangzhou) after spending the last half year or so traveling around China/SE Asia. So I have a few thoughts, though I haven't been out here all that long.

I'm mid-20s and out here for the personal challenge (came in knowing no Chinese- doing some self study in a format similar to Roosh's) and because, long term, I think it's going to open a ton of doors if I can stay afloat financially for the first year or two.

As a westerner, you get some status bonus points with the women, just like anywhere around here, but I wouldn't be here if my primary motivation was women. First, the language barrier is huge in China. In Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc., many girls that you meet can at least speak some English, but it's a different animal in China. You can play the non-binge-drinking (to stand out), relatively poor young foreigner card (although you're still comparatively very rich) and get same day lays almost at will in SE Asia, but, while I'm meeting a decent amount of girls, I'm having to do a lot more approaches and go at a slower pace in China. One of my friends here, an American of Chinese descent, is native level in Mandarin and absolutely kills it with girls- maybe only a rung or two below celebrity status. So there's some extra incentive to learn the language fast.

More importantly, I like my women with some curves, and Han women are generally pretty flat in the chest/ass. I've already found myself promoting girls a point or two solely bc of a pair of tits. They do have pretty faces though. They're darker, curvier, and in my opinion hotter, the further south you go in this part of Asia.

Text messenging's big here, and it's your ally as a foreigner who doesn't know much Chinese. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or simply the logistics of the computer programs they use to type Chinese characters on a computer, but Chinese girls can generally translate your English texts into something that they can understand and respond to you. This seems to be almost the exact opposite of my experience in SE Asia (except Philippines), where girls can speak some English but they can't read/write any of it- so phone calls were much better than texts.

Get a QQ account, and some web translator, if you're in China. For pretty much the same reasons as text messenging. Many girls here seem to sit on that all day when they are not outside.

That would be an interesting experience. He could pretend to be your friend thats showing you around town. Actually, come to think of it, just find a cool guy that speaks english, become friends with him, pay his cover and buy him a couple drinks, and have him translate for you when you go out.

Another thought is to do a lot of online game. This way you are filtering out those girls that dont speak any english without it taking up a lot of time. Generally, the hottest girls in any society belong to the rich class (cause daddy got a trophy wife) and assuming that the richer class speaks more English & has higher rates of internet access, you would be filtering for the hotter girls at the same time. Thoughts?

It's really rough with the Chinese. Especially so because I learn faster if I can read something that I can understand, but the chinese "alphabet" is really just thousands of characters. There's pinyin, which converts to an English-like alphabet, but since everything other than metro stops is written with the characters you're pretty much forced to memorize two associations for each word. At least the grammar itself is pretty easy because you don't have to conjugate much.

Here's a good character frequency list for anyone that wants to try, but I'd definitely recommend starting with Pimsleur or something that gets you used to saying/recognizing tones first:

This probably is pretty feasible here. Most services are very cheap. A maid cleans my apartment for around $2 per hour, McDonald's costs a little under $1 to have delivered to your door, etc... and I'm in one of the 2-3 most expensive cities in the mainland. You'd have to pay more than that for someone who knows English well enough to translate, but it's probably something less than the typical going rate for 1 on 1 Mandarin tutoring here (which I hear starts at around $9-$10 per hour).

Language exchange is very big here, so you could probably find a translator that way (i.e. someone that wants to practice English by talking to you, but knows enough to get by). Just be sure to find a cool one: a lot of Chinese guys love to drink with foreigners, but really hate it and will attempt to cockblock you when you start going after "their" women.

The first trick wit J-girls is to speak Japanese. You walk up and start spitting their lingo they're overwhelmed.

Chinese dudes ain't gonna help you bang their women. For myself and eveyone I knew that lived in China they have a dry spell to start off with then start getting tail after they figure it out. You can definitely bang without knowing Chinese, but of course it can help (but will take a very long time to learn enough). Chinese are very curious about foreigners so they will love to hang out and show you around the city. Most of them have zero life and minimal social skills so anything you do or say is strange to them. Teaching is a good way to meet tail either students or your teachers assistant.
