DR vs. MX City for a week and up

Hey,

I am looking to go to either one of those two to practice spanish, pickup hot latinas and chill for at least a week.

So, I have been to DR of course before, I loved it. I loved it so much my brain tried to backwards rationalize it as just a fluke and it really will suck when I go back. Plus, I should see something new. I didnt get to check out Santiago and Punta Cana though..

BUT

I heard Mexico City is pretty dangerous. But, Mexican girls that are hot = worth if it as long as I dont get killed.

I may go solo or with a friend, it depends. Bankrolls looking like for a week $1k-2k and more if I stay longer.

All Comments appreciated. Thanks!

Also, Ill post more data sheets in here once I go wherever I decide.

I have never been to DR, but if you have a week I would say go there.

Mexico is an amazing city with tons of things to get up to, but to go there for the chicas with only a week might be a problem.

I love Mexico city but I would not go there if I only had a week and I wanted to chase skirt.

MX City is not dangerous if you know where to hangout.

If I knew I could be safe, I'd love to hit Mexico City and maybe bounce to some other parts as well. There are so many places in LA to choose from, depending on your emphasis.

I haven't been to Cuba since 2000 so that is a place I definitely want to get back to. The girls thought I was Dominican, but when they found out I was American I got a hero's welcome [Image: smile.gif]

DR vs. MX City for a week and up

I stayed for a week last May in the Ciudad with my buddy.

Mexico City is an amazing place. Huge with beautiful architecture, friendly people, delicious food, and amazing history. I advise any guy on this board just to go there just for the tourist stuff alone.

It is considered the safest place in all of Mexico as the government has concentrated most of its resources there over the last decade in order to prove to the world that Mexico can at least have a safe and beautiful capitol. Consequently, I never felt endangered at all and marveled at how clean everything was (versus other parts of Mexico), but did notice police and army personnel everywhere.

Here are some tips:

1) I personally find the standard Mestizo to be one of the ugliest people on Earth. They're generally short and fat with unattractive facial geometry. It's unfortunate but with that being said the white/European indigenous are fucking amazingly beautiful. There are also a ton of European/South American expats living in Mexico City, mainly from Spain, France, Argentina and Germany.

2) The three safest places where you can find the above-mentioned girls are Polanco, Condesa, and Roma Norte, with how expensive each area is in descending order. In other words, the richest Mexican girls live and socialize in Polanco, most of the poorer expats live in Roma, and Condesa has a mixture of both.

3) My buddy lives in Condesa, which has a ton of great restaurants and bars where meeting women is easy. I actually didn't even try to meet girls in Condesa and invariably started talking to some cute Mexican and American girls one night in a great bar. It was a rooftop bar called Condesa DF. I would advise any player to go to that bar. Michoacán in Condesa also has a ton of outdoor restaurants/bars/cafes.

4) Tacos cost between $0.50 to $0.75 and are amazingly delicious. I ate them almost every day and saved a ton of cash. If cooking is more you thing, there's a huge market in Roma Norte that has every kind of perishable food item that you'd need.

5) Taxis are considered safe EXCEPT for the ones which are old VW Bugs. The bugs, based on their pollution, are trying to be eliminated from the Ciudad, hence any legitimate cab driver has to have a newer car that emits much less emissions. Taxi drivers driving an old Bug are likely fake and could be a kidnapper.

6) Mexico City gets over 250 sun days a year and has a temperature that never really swings much. It's located at an elevation between 7,000-8,000 feet, thus it doesn't get much hotter than 80 degrees in the summer and much cooler than 50 degrees in the winter.

7) Nobody at a cash register ever has any fucking change. You need to carry around tons of change at all times. Most annoying part about the place.

8) You will get Montezuma's revenge if you drink the tap water. It's virtually guaranteed. Since all of the produce in a restaurant will invariably be washed with tap water, you should avoid any uncooked food unless you're preparing it yourself. I made the mistake of ordering a salad one day and had diarrhea for almost seven days afterwards. Buy bottled water for everything since it's so cheap.

9) The Anthropology Museum (Museo de Antropologia) is top-three museum that I've ever visited. Please go there if you have time.

That's all I got. I'll subscribe to this thread to answer anything else about the place, but I went there to hang with a buddy so my data sheet is a little bare.

DR vs. MX City for a week and up

Just got back from Guadalajara on Sunday from a ten day trip. Loved it. Stopped by Puerto Vallarta for a few days too. The girls are more European than the Mexico city girls. I met a beautiful girl from Mexico City but couldn't close. She wants to show me her city next time I go. Met a few girls in Guadalajara who go to DF to party, so I think it's probably a good choice for the nightlife. I'd say pipeline before you go as best you can. Couchsurf if you have an account. Guadalajara nightlife sucked during the week because I didn't know where to go.

My Spanish is garbage but the trip help alot. My stomach was messed up the whole trip but comes with the travel.

I would hit Mexico City for the new flag. AmericaninEurope posted earlier this month about it. I thought about it but it was a little much for me. My next trip will be three months so I will post up in DF for a week or too. Your bankroll is perfect. 4star hotels go for 40 dollars and hostels for 15. Private hostel rooms 20-30. Locals are pretty tough IMO. I smashed a CS girl and a local who lived in the states for years. Both spoke great English. I daygamed mostly at the malls and a little on the streets.

The city is safe but you have to know which parts. BARS probably got you on that one.

Honestly I would recommend Guadalajara. I had no problems there. Was dolo most of the time. As long as you stay away from the airport area you are good. Cabs are cheap, women are gorgeous, food is great. Only thing I didn't like was the nightlife, but that was my lack of pipeline and research. The weekends are great and always have events going on. I saw a wrestling match in the middle of the street and three bands playing at the same time.

Maybe the Mexico City girls are looser but in the end its all about your game.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

If you're looking at the DR this week, I might wait considering some of the unrest after the election yesterday. There have been some shootings and people are upset about the corruption.

Wouldn't sweat it. I was at the actual fiesta for the nuevo presidente. Everyone was happy, and the beer and rum flowed freely on the streets. It was a lot of fun. Chicas everywhere. I honestly didn't know where to start approaching. I short circuited.

At an event for Danilo, I would expect people to be happy. But, good to hear that things are well where you are at. I have to be in Santo Domingo for a few days next week so I look forward to hearing about any fallout from the locals.
